Looking for an inexpensive Pet Friendly Vaca in MD or VA
I am looking for a fairly inexpensive vacation rental/ hotel in MD or VA (or even southern Delaware) that is pet friendly. Ideally I would love to find a small 1 bedroom or efficiency cabin or chalet that can be rented in the off season. (Simply want a getaway with the hubs and puppy without spending too much $$).
Thanks!
Re: Looking for an inexpensive Pet Friendly Vaca in MD or VA
There are cabin rentals and pet friendly b&bs in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We've stayed with our dog at the Fox Hill Bed & Breakfast in the Shenandoah Valley right outside Lexington. No size restrictions (we have a large dog) and overall I was very impressed with the inn. It sort of has an old farmhouse feel - it's on a small farm with horses, donkeys, and open fields for the dog to run around. We stayed in the Cornwall Room for 169/night - spacious, immaculate, nicely decorated, and you have a private entrance via deck stairs, so it feels secluded. Nearby are hiking trails and downtown Lexington, with restaurants, shops, and historic sites. We had a great weekend and the area is beautiful.
Charlottesville is another great destination - plenty to see & do (wineries, history, downtown restaurants and shops) and although we've never taken our dog there I imagine there are some pet-friendly options there.
