What are you cooking/baking today?

I've already made green velvet cupcakes and cinnamon cranberry granola.  I've in the middle of making thin mint truffles (YAY Gril Scout cookies!), and I made baba ganoush which was a HUGE fail.

What are you cooking/baking today?

Re: What are you cooking/baking today?

  • I've made croutons, chocolate chip muffins and cheesecake so far. I still need to make the chicken noodle soup for dinner and cut up the vegetables to go into the crock pot for dinner tomorrow.
  • Just dinner, which is some sort of soup I'm coming up with on the fly that will be sort of similar to red beans and rice & jambalaya (soup with chicken andouille, red beans, brown rice, peppers, etc.)

  • Made breakfast burritos for breakfast.  Now I need to make pizza dough to freeze, roasted tofu for snacks for the work week, and fancy rice krispie treats.  Dinner tonight is easy - burgers from the freezer.
  • Jalapeno popper dip in a few minutes.  Will be reheating (made it for the Super Bowl, recipe made two, so we froze one) a Chicago-style deep dish pizza after that, then finishing off with popcorn during the pre-oscars red carpet show.  I can't wait!

  • uhm, not much! I'm watching a friend's two toddlers so... we had scrambled eggs and pb toast for breakfast and are now having leftover spaghetti for lunch.

Tonight I'm making DH and I a ham dinner. Specifically, a Dr. Pepper ham. I've never made a ham before so I'm hoping all goes well. I'm craving some sort of glazed carrots with it so I've gotta look up that recipe. I'll make some mashed potatoes with it.

  • Dh and i just finished a late lunch. He made pork chops on the grill, and carmalized onion centers, and I made oven "fried" crunchy onion rings. BTW the new Heinz balsamic vinegar blended ketchup is sooo good!
  • Nothing much. DH is still in south Florida (until very late tonight). I used up some stuff in the fridge (bacon, green pepper, mushrooms, red onion, eggs, cheddar, hot salsa) to make a burrito for lunch.

Dinner will either be red beans and rice or chicken noodle soup, both of which I made the other day.

  • I have butternut squash, apples and apricots cooking in the crockpot to eat with quinoa for lunch this week. For dinner I'm making Ina's Prime Rib with Horseradish Sauce, Sauteed Carrots, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and (pre-made) Molton Chocolate Lava Cakes. I'm doing a fancy Oscar's dinner. We were sick on New Year's so I froze the prime rib I was going to make for dinner. I thought this would be a fun occasion to make it.
  • Homemade chocolate syrup

Peanut butter mini chocolate chip cookies

Grilled chicken for dinner- not sure about the sides yet.

  • Homemade corn dog muffins for DD #1.  I have no idea what #2 is eating for dinner as she likely won't touch these, but that's her problem.  I'm done cooking.  Not that I did much beyond that today...we ate a quick breakfast and were out all day including for lunch.  It's sort of odd how empty my dishwasher is!

  • Meatball sliders with basil pesto

Homemade funfetti cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting

    I think that's it!

  • Not baking... but did make some basic vanilla ice cream...Hope this batch is betterl The last batch was a little too sweet and to vanilla-ey.

  • I have chocolate apple bread with walnuts and chocolate chips in the oven.  For dinner I'm making spareribs with a teriyaki glaze and a vegetable stir-fry.  We have leftover rice to go with it.
  • Stew of lentils, brown rice, spinach, with some canned crushed tomatoes, and tons of black pepper.
