The H and I will be driving from Toronto to NJ at the end of March and want to spend the Sat exploring the sights in NYC.
Any ideas ? A few great cheap eats, and I want to see the 9/11 memorial for sure. Best On & Off tour bus maybe ?
Thanks !

Re: NYC Ladies..
Since like, a million people ask about NYC recommendations, start with this thread and then ask more specifics.

For what it's worth, if I have to recommend one thing to do, one thing to visit, and one thing to eat it's this:
DO: Walk the Highline. It's an elevated railway that was converted into a park. It's a nice way to see the city, it's a great way to experience the re-configuration of space/land, and it ends in the Meatpacking District which has some great (higher end) shopping and restaurants.
VISIT: Eataly by Madison Square Park. If you can make a reservation for Birreria, the beer garden on top of the building. The brewmaster from Dogfish worked with Mario Batali. Good stuff.
EAT: A chocolate chip cookie from Levain Bakery on W. 72nd and Amsterdam. Just eat it. And then you'll know why it's my #1 must eat in NYC.
