Re: IN Get Fit Challenge!
Everything going ok here! Right after New Year's, I started counting calories again and lost 3-4 pounds. Unfortunately, I've gained back most of it these past two weeks with a diet of pizza, eating out, extra soda, and generally not caring about what I put in my mouth. Obviously, that's going to change, and I'm committed to being back on the wagon! Oh, and DH and I started running again!
QOTD: I actually feel really good about myself when I am able to mark something off my "to-do" list...regardless of what it is. So, I've been working on an afghan since the beginning of the year, and I'm nearly 1/4 of the way done...I like to create things, it makes me feel good!
I've been pretty decent at getting in at least one workout a week and eating healthy. All of the pushups are starting to show a little on my arms and shoulders.
QOTD: Whenever I get a burst of energy and am productive, I feel pretty good about myself.
I cut back on the carbs and we got a Wii. Since the end of January I've dropped almost 3% body fat.
I need to start the pilates again too and maybe try to use the Wii more than 2x a week ...
I'm still running 6 km twice a week. I love the difference in my body since I started in September!
I'm going to start a workout dvd soon too.
QOTD: I feel great after I run, energetic the whole day and I am motivated to clean the house, have sex and am in such a great mood.
Can I join in too?
My target is to loose 15lb by 15th May, which I started on last week and lost over a pound.
Eliminating the unhealthy snacks and treats from everyday and eating proper meals - Friday is my treat day and I can have a glass of wine or two at the weekends. And make healthier choices in food selection.
Cycle to work all but 1 day a week, walk at least every other day, get back to pilates!!
I've broken my 6-week plateau. SO happy about that. I'm learning to rest and not feel guilty as I've been overdoing the workouts a bit. 35.5 lbs down. I really don't want to lose more than 15 lbs but I'm on a program to build lots of muscle so losing 10lbs should mean I get a six-pack at some stage. I had wanted a six-pack by my birthday in April, but I'll be happy for it to happen sometime this year.
QOTD: I feel good when I have a workout that feels easy. I really love seeing some (minimal to anyone but me) muscle definition, especially in my shoulders and thigs when I'm lifting. It's such a confidence booster.
Giggle, I'm going to have to change my goal again. My hip is still acting up but it seems to be okay if I keep my jogging to half hour jogs on a treadmill... any more than that it seems to hate me.
My goal now is to lose 5lbs as it turns out I'm still too overweight for some of the infertility treatments on the NHS. It's not an issue yet but I don't want something so stupid to affect anything. I'm really, really struggling to stay focussed on being healthy right now but I had such a fun weekend I'm hoping I can push through the last few months and start taking care of myself again.
QODT: I felt so, so good about myself when I was running regularly. I really saw a difference with my body and felt really strong. I am hoping I can get back there!
BFP Apr 2012, EDD Dec 19 2012 * twin h/b at 6wk, 9wk scan * Baby A lost at 12wks, Baby B was my rainbow born at 36wks
I am so excited the weather is getting nicer. It helps me stay moviated. I have been doing really well with eating well lately and I have been going to my body balance classes, however, I need to start cycling more to prepare for our biking trip in April!
Hopefully, I will be able to hit the gym tonight!
QOTD: Seriously, just moving makes me feel good about myself. It improves my mood and I do get a better night's sleep! I need to get back into a solid routine again!
