I've been over here for about a year and have yet to meet any Nesties... I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one. While I love living over here, a little more of a social network (the in-person kind) is always a good thing.

Hello from Dubai!
I visited Doha this past week to hang out with JennyBee and am hoping to meet JustPeachy the next time I'm there. You should hang out with these ladies because they're awesome!
I'm jealous that you guys have a Bennigan's and we don't.

WHAT?? Of ALL the things Dubai has, how is there not a Bennigan's? I'm craving their honey mustard chicken wrap.
Right? It's very hard to find things here that you guys dont' have over there!

Yay! I've been waving at all of you from Doha since I read all this!
I love Qatar, though at times I get a little island-crazy. I haven't been to Dubai or Bahrain yet but I'd really love to.
The reason we're over here is because the Mr. got a job with the Corps of Engineers and we said "yes!" Which obviously makes us certifiable because we've just signed on for another two years and now we're going to have our first little minion in the middle east!
You know what I miss.... freakin' Hobby Lobby and Dr. Pepper. You can't find anything over here and even our "American" grocery store only carries Dr. P every couple of months!
We have Dr. Pepper here but it's a little pricey. I would KILL for a Hobby Lobby.

I'm here in Doha! Not sure if you remember...but we've met! We had lunch at Wafi Gourmet and got pedicures at Landmark! :-) Hope things are going well for you.
I've found Dr. Pepper here - usually at Lulu! Course it's like 10 riyals a can, but it's worth it! My DH actually prefers Dr. P Zero (it's a UK product) when we can find it!
And get yourself to Dubai and Bahrain soon! It's really important for your sanity to get out of Doha every now and then :-P Trust me!
