Anything fun?

Re: What did you do this weekend?

  • Friday I got fitted for a bridesmaid dress, ran errands, and after errands we watched the NBA Rising Stars game, that was fun.  Then I made some binding for the quilt.

Saturday I got up early, Zumbaed with a friend, found an adorable consignment shop, cleaned my whole house (including sterilizing my dishwasher, garbage disposal and cleaning my drains- clearly I was into it), then napped for 5 hours.  Bound the metro quilt and went to bed.

Yesterday I took my laptop in for some minor repairs before the warranty is up, bought new shoes since I've worn holes in mine working out, and stocked up on frozen food since I was near the nicer of the grocery stores near us.

  • yes!  I had a very good/fun weekend

Had one last SP Friday night, got rid of some more of my stuff.  Still have a lot left though. A few of the girls started after and we drank more and hung out til the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday watched the Mizzou BB game, did some stuff around the house, then went out for Restaurant week.  Had ridiclously good lobster ravioli and H had this gorgonzola balsalmic gnocci with tenderloin that was absolutely to die for.

Sunday did an order for Cars cake pops, relaxed a little.

  • Friday night we made pizza and watched 50/50 with a large bottle of wine. It was a stressful week so i think we just needed a quiet night.

Saturday we ran errands, went to the gym, entertained my sister for a while and then decided at 7:30 to go out to dinner. We tried somewhere new, it was delicious and then instead of going out for another drink we decided to go home, have another drink on the couch while watching DVR'd NBA All-star activities.

Sunday we woke up early, made monkey bread and then went to a friends house for brunch. We ended up staying WAY too long playing with their kids and having a light saber battle. We got there at 10:30 and didn't end up getting home until nearly 6. Watched the Oscars, did some pre-work-week prep and chatted for a while which was nice.  Started to talk about selling our condo and moving into a house. So..maybe that will be on the horizon in the next year or two.

  • Friday- went for a dinner at a local wine bar - took Charlotte to the bookstore since she was so well behaved for dinner and crashed.

Saturday- 8am workout, farmers market trip, wine shop trip, relaxed at home the rest of the evening.

Sunday- cleaned our master walk in closet for the first time since we moved in. Emptied the last two clothes boxes from the move (mostly my stuff going to charity) and did our taxes. Had awesome dinner both nights (steak, carrots, salad and bread Saturday and Pork chops brined, asparagus and a fennel/blood orange salad last night)

  • Friday afternoon I babysat and then picked up calzones on the way home for dinner.

Saturday we ran some errands in the morning and then went to a friends for dinner at night, nothing to special.

Sunday we went out to lunch and then went to go look for a new area rug for our living room, the one we had was starting to gross me out and I didn't want the baby on it anymore. Then we went to dinner at my aunts house, she made this really delicious roast beef with a crispy labor of seasoning on the outside..omg delicious.

  • I'm sure you guys saw my FB updates, but we went to Kansas City on Friday and took Ellie to see the Fresh Beat Band (it's a Nickelodeon show that she loves - it's all about music) and then we spent the night

Saturday we got up, had breakfast, spent 4 hours at the KC Zoo which was awesome, had some freaking awesome KC barbecue at this place:

     Then we went home.

Sunday we spent the day recovering and napping because we were all super tired.

  • Friday we went to the mall and got Nathan some shoes because he's starting to walk. We also splurged and got him a pbk bean bag. He LOVES it!

Saturday we did some stuff around the house and I did a ton of laundry. Then we went to a friends house for dinner which was a lot of fun.

Sunday I cleaned the office and then Nate and I went to my BFF's to visit for lunch and see her new house. A busy but productive weekend.

Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

  • Alex's 1st birthday party!!  Pictures on FB :)  I was pretty sick on and off during his party which totally sucked - but it was still a great time! :)  The collage timeline of Alex's first year turned out awesome and so did the cakes.  We just relaxed Sunday which was excellent as well.
  • This weekend was REALLLLLLY low-key.... Samma was a little under the weather because her recent antibiotics have been bothering her tummy, so we stayed close to home.  Upside is she's doing a helliva lot better since yesterday, so I'm glad we took it easy.
