My life is so dang weird.
And confusing. Many of you know that I recently began leasing a young horse from a friend, which was supposed to be a long term project. Well, I decided in the last week that I was just spreading my time and funds way too thin. I told my friend it wasn't going to work, and she was happy to take her home. Today, thinking I was taking a break from the horse industry, I got an offer to begin riding and showing a son of famous show jumper Capone 1 (seriously, google him.) This horse is just a big pile of potential, and could take me so so very far in the direction of my goals. We're talking world shows, Olympics etc. (years down the road, that is.) I am not sure how I am going to find the time, but I simply could NOT turn down this opportunity. My F is very apprehensive, and I'm hoping he'll be supportive in the future, but we'll see. The other thing is, this horses owner wants me to start showing him in Alberta this summer. At the same venue as serious world shows have taken place for ages. I'd be riding in the same arena as Olympic riders. I'm not crazy to give this a shot, am I?

Re: My life is so dang weird.
this sounds like an amazing opportunity and while it seems like a big time commitment, it sounds like something you will love doing it. If you and F can agree on how you guys would balance this with other things in your lives. i say go for it.
I have to admit, despite being from Kentucky, I didn't understand a lot of what was said other than OLYMPICS and world showing.
So yea, I agree. XD I think it'd be crazy not to give this a go. If anything, if you find it's too hard timewise, you can give it up then? But to not even give a shot might be something you regret later cause you never know how time works out.
