Dpeugh, Interro...I cleaned my closet.

H and I spent most of our Saturday cleaning and organizing closets. I reorganized and moved all my dresses to one closet. I'm not done but this is most of them. I may have completely miscounted, I don't think I'm up to 200 yet. Yay? Our shared closet is still all pulled apart.

My favorite new thing is the $3.99 shoe rack (Target) on the floor. It's plastic like a thick hanger but it holds my little shoes perfectly.

  • I still want to think your closet looks like this

However, your closet looks incredibly organized!  I hate looking for matching shoes in the morning and wish I had a better system.  How many pairs does your rack hold?

  • I want to think my closet looks like that too.

The racks hold nine pairs. I cleaned out our coat closet and put another rack in there too, for the shoes in my daily rotation.

  • How many closets do you have in your house? And how many does your H get to use?

I only have half of one that size.  :(

We have a ridiculous amount of closets. There are 4 downstairs between the hall and the mudroom. Also four upstairs, one in each bedroom. There is a big azz linen closet in the upstairs hall, along with another narrow closet for toiletries. Oh, also there is a big one in the master bath (for towels, etc), and another similar in the vanity area in the master. They made very good use of some empty spaces when they built this house.

  • This is exactly what my dress closet looks like! It's in our guest room. Side note, I love your handbags.

  • I covet your closets, Motzie.

My place is much smaller than yours. I have a 2 bd apt.  So, we have a closet the size of the one in your picture in our bedroom, then a closet maybe 1/3 (or 1/4?) of that size in the second bedroom which is mostly taken up by H's suits. I have some of my nicer dresses in there, but he is a space hog when it comes to clothes. We do have a small closet with shelves in the hall, which we use as a linen closet and we have a coat closet that is pretty deep so that we can store stuff behind the coats.

Or last apartment had 2 teensy teensy closets, so closet space was at the top of our list when we moved and this is about as good as it gets in this area.
