How's everybody's weight loss/exercise going?

I thought I had lost a negligible amount this week, but it turns out I lost 1 1/2 pounds.  I hit my weight loss goal for the month!  I'm feeling like I'm in a pretty good groove right now.  

I have a 5k run coming up on St. Patty's weekend, and I'm interested to see how I manage it.  I'm still not at a point where I can run the whole 3 miles without taking a couple walking breaks, but my regular route doesn't involve any real elevation changes and the race route does.

  • Squee!  I can participate in these now.

    I went to the gym Saturday and Sunday, but I wanted to take today off so that I could mentally prepare myself for waking up at 4 am tomorrow.

    I'm actually quite happy that I was able to get on the eliptical and go for 30 minutes at a pretty good clip.  I don't think my cardio abilities have suffered too badly over the past 3/4 years.  Flexibility and ab strength on the other hand...yeah.  I'm in some pain today.

  • I ran two miles in just over 20 minutes yesterday, so that felt good. Now, I need to work up to that third mile and start concentrating on my speed.

  • I'm down another 2lbs, so 4 total. I can definitely see that even if I'm not dropping lbs like flies, I'm toning up pretty nicely.

    I'm currently willing it not to rain so that I can jog to boxing. Otherwise I don't get to go today and I'll be super sad. I made it through 6 days of working out last week. 5 days either boxing/kickboxing (three with runs either to/from or later in the day) and 1 day of a long run through the park. I'm totally getting back in the swing of things.

  • I am still chugging along. Am down another 2 pounds (as my fb friends saw me crow about). I think I need to pick a wl goal for March and I need to be held accountable to move on to week 5 day 2 in couch to 5k tomorrow.

  • Someone flogg me! I hit my goal weight a few weeks ago and I stopped. So yeah, I'm not at my goal weight anymore. I should probably start doing something about that.
  • I went to my doctors appointment today. Napparently it was an hour earlier than I had on my calendar.  D tried to cheer me up by taking me to chick fil a for lunch.  So, I am feeling like an unhealthy eater and a bad liberal.  Also, I really don't think the deliciousness of eating junk food outweighs how gross junk food makes me feel.

  • My eating has gone to hell lately. Oops. I seem to be maintaining on weight, though theoretically is like to lose about 10 lbs more. 

    I only went to the gym twice last week, but I did run a little over 10 miles on Tuesday.  It was rough and I'm nervous about my upcoming half marathon. I feel like this week's schedule will be off too since I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off to go to a rally.  

  • I logged in to WW for the first time in forever today. I'm taking a stand against unhealthy eating. I cooked a lot of good stuff for the week last night, too.

    For now I can only walk, so I've been trying to do that regularly. The eating and drinking is where I could use some help.

    I'm not ready to step on the scale. It's really a scary proposition for me.

  • I'm doing ok.  I haven't really lost any el bees lately, but I am trying to do better about the gym.  Considering I have another half marathon in about 2 months, that's my motivation.  I went back to Body Pump on Saturday after about a 2 week break. I'm still paying for that.  Ouch.

  • I had a pretty good week. My WI is on Friday, and I lost 3 lbs. Most of that was probably water weight, though, as I had been eating for crap. Last week I decided to get back on the track wagon, and it was good :D.

    This Saturday I played Ultimate Frisbee again for the first time in forever. I burned ~730 calories after playing for under 1.5 hrs. Reminded me of why I started playing in the first place. 

    Also, I finally tried spaghetti squash and am in looooove

  • Oh and Christin, we are appt mistake twins. I had an appt at 8:30 am but here I am at 1:15 waiting to get in. Errrrr.

    Same one.  This year I also signed up to do the 5K the night before, but I fully intend on walking that.  What can I say?  I'm a medal whore.

  • I'm down another 2.8. Probably from not eating much of anything all last week (I didn't even bother tracking). So I'm at 15.8 total. It's coming off FAST, much quicker than before. I assume I'll hit a wall at seem point, but I'll take what I can get for now. 

    I did just try on a pair of old jeans one size smaller than what I've been wearing, and they fit! That was exciting!

  • Did you know there are 480 calories in a Wheat Germ Chocolate Chip Cookie from Specialty's? Well there are. FUCKFUCKFUCK. And I don't have time to walk 5 miles today to burn that *** off.

  • I used to go to Specialty's until I found their website with the nutritional info. I never went again. So sad because so so good.

  • It's an uphill battle.   the hill seems to be made of shale.

    the kids are both sick and getting up multiple times a night which results in me be exausted and unmotivated to work out.  it also leaves me craving chocolate.
