We received our first offer yesterday and are meeting with our Realtors tonight to review. The funny thing is they didn't even make an appointment to see our house on Saturday. For some odd reason we have more showings during the week and our weekends are light. We only had one viewing scheduled for Saturday, so we stopped briefly by our house to pick up a stroller and DH said their was a couple there with their agent. He said he called, but I know that he didn't.
Anyway, good thing, because they submitted an offer on Sunday! And they are first time home buyers relocating from another town in the state. That is good for us that they don't have a contingency because we need to close on this house by the end of April in order to close on the house we are buying. And they are excited about our neighborhood and looking forward to being able to sell one of their cars. This just might work out!!!
Our realtor told us that we have 2-3 other people who have been sitting on the fence and want to know if we receive an offer on our house. DH is really hoping we end up with a bidding war. I don't know about that
Has anyone had fence sitters that ended up making offers once you received an offer form someone else? What happened? Thanks ![]()
Re: Finally, an offer!!
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That's so exciting and I'm so happy to hear you got an offer!!!!! I don't have any advice since we just put ours on the market, but knowing how frustrating selling is, especially with kids, I am so glad you got an offer! Hope the on-the-fencers come in and compete so you get a higher price than currently being offered!!
How long has your house been on the market?
Good luck and Congrats on an offer!!! (I would give anything for an offer right now lol)

Thanks! We went on the market Jan 23, so about 4.5 weeks. It seems like forever though
I actually had someone on the fence that ended up putting in offer in once she found out we were in contract
Congrats on your offer and here's to a Bidding War!!
