anyone with a H&F related tattoo?
This girl in my cycling class this morning had an ironman symbol tattooed on her calf. I was impressed/intimidated. I've never gotten a tattoo because I can't think of anything I'd still be cool with when I'm 60+ years old. However, if I ever do something like an ironman, yeah I'd be cool with that reminder for the rest of my life. Does anybody here have a H&F related tattoo? Cool story to go with it?

I don't have any tattoos, but if I ever did an Ironman (not that I'm planning to), I would FOR SURE get a tattoo of the Ironman logo.
Sometimes I wonder if they have a tattoo artist at the finish line of Ironman races
since it seems like a relatively common thing. And deservedly so!

Oops, I didn't realize it was common! This was the first one I've seen.
They very well may have one on site. I know that they have one at Tough Mudders.
There are no ironman sponsored tattoo artists on site, but I'm sure the tattoo shops around the race get busy that weekend!
This topic gets pretty heated in the tri scene. You have those that believe it's a way to show your accomplishments in a race you did, and others that think you're just slapping a permanent corporate sponsor's logo on you for life. I can see both sides of the issues, and considering the fact that I don't see myself doing an ironman anytime in the near future, it's hard for me to say what I'd do. I may pick something else to symbolize the race, like the distance and location.
I have a fish tattoo on my ankle to represent the 10+ years of swimming. Whenever I look at it, I get a feeling to get back in the water and rock some laps or at the very least to get moving.
