Disneyland in August
Hey there! I'm a NJ nestie & we're heading out to visit my dad in Northern CA and thought about flying in down south and hitting up Disneyland for 3 days first and then driving up for the rest of our stay. Nothing is set in stone yet but it would most likely be MH & I and our 4yo son, my sister, 15 yo nephew and my dad. I would appreciate ANY & ALL info, advice or rec's for the trip.
Great offsite places to stay? Must see's @ Disney? Best places to eat on property? Other attractions for the older kid? How close to LA/Hollywood?
I'm in the preliminary stages and would really love to hear anything that anyone has to offer.

just keep in mind that summer is high season at Disneyland and it'll be hot and crowded.
that being said, the grand Californian is the nicest of the 3 Disney properties. love that hotel.
