Indiana is a pretty cool place
I'm back from Indiana, and I can say that I enjoyed my trip, even though it was for work. Don't think I could ever live there though. My American co-workers didn't appreciate the fact that I called NASCAR "donut racing" and the lack of hockey game coverage bummed me out, lol.

Re: Indiana is a pretty cool place
It's nice when you can enjoy a new city for a short time and at the same time appreciate why you don't live there. hah
You'd loathe TX hockey coverage then, I only see it on TV if there's playoffs or the Stanely Cup going on. I barely even know what hockey is!
Indiana is to Chicagoans how New Jersey is to New Yorkers.
That is all.
I found it quite interesting that even though we do live somewhat close, that there were huge differences in culture (this isn't the word I want to use, but I can't think of a more suitable one). I tried to order a Caesar at the bar, and the waitress looked at me confused, then I said a Bloody Mary, and then she finally knew what I wanted. No one knew what a Paralyser was, do you ladies know? (Vodka, Kaluha, cola and a splash of milk)
I was in a training school with all men, and nobody knew anything about hockey, and they were surprised that I knew what the Superbowl was... (Yes, we do have TV in Canada... lol)
Caesar = a romaine salad with creamy anchovy dressing. I have never heard a drink called this!
Colorado Bulldog or White Russian = Vodka, Kaluha, cola and milk.. depending on the amount of milk/coke proportion
I haven't heard of the Paralyser before, it sounds more like a shot to me!
This is my understanding as well.
We have Caesar the salad too, but we call a Bloody Mary, a Caesar up here. It tasted the same.
I'll try to remember the Colorado Bulldog & White Russian for my next visit States-side. But apparently rum & coke is a universal drink!
