Since we didn't do FFFC...

I have one.

DH brought a glass pyrex bowl home on Friday, I had sent it to work with him on January 16th.  It was a mix of various fruits left over from a party.  I thought he could eat through it over a few days.  Note, the number of days between 1-16 and 2-24....  It still has fruit in it.  I can not bring myself to open it for the fear of the terrible smell, it is all sorts of fuzzy.  Today, I sat it in his parking spot.  If it wasn't a bowl I use all.the.time I would totally toss it in the trash.

They don't have an actual kitchen at his work but I am thoroughly disgusted that this has been in their fridge for over a month.

  • I blocked the Humane Society/Pound, etc etc from my facebook because...I get extremely tired of the "If this puppy/kitty isn't adopted today, he will have to be put to sleep posts" with a picture of a sad puppy/kitty face.  That is just totally inappropriate and a WRONG way to advertise their animals for adoption.  Further, as an animal lover myself, it makes me feel horrible the rest of the day.  Our doggie daycare place has started "sharing" these posts and that makes me just as mad.

    It is just wrong.

  • This shouldn't irritate me like it does, but oh well....DH's cousin got married April 2009--we never received a thank you card (DH's grandma received one though, explain that one).  I co-hosted a baby shower for this same cousin in November....no TY card for that gift either.  Her son was born January 3 and I went to her house to visit a few weeks later and took a gift---a blanket and a package of TY cards.  I guess that makes me b!tchy/passive aggressive, but I'm okay with that.

  • There are a ton of Santorum signs posted along the route on my way to work. I know I should be happy about civic engagement, etc., but that man in particular just makes me stabby.

It makes me feel sad. Very sad.

  • People who don't want their parents, spouse or employer to know something about them, should not post it on the internet.  There are a million ways to snag data from someone's so-called private facebook account.  Some idiot at work posted an inappropriate photo "anonymously" online, and now our national legal department is investigating who did it.  It took me a matter of 30 seconds to pull the EXIF data on this picture to find out when it was taken and from what location, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before legal figures this out.  I suppose if you want to play russian roulette and post stuff like this online, at least have the common sense to wipe the data from your photos.  It irritates me that these fresh from college punks do this stuff without even thinking about it, yet it's my job to help build our brand and reputation in the marketplace, but in a matter of seconds, one picture can ruin all of that.  You can tell people over and over and over that NOTHING on the internet is private, but they never believe you until something naughty they posted gets discovered.

Anywho, I told this person's supervisor what they did and how easy it is to track this information back to our office.  They may not get fired, but we're going to try and instill some fear in them.  I suppose instilling common sense may be asking too much.

ITA. I think I'm about to un-follow them, too. Sucks, because I like seeing photos of dogs and cats that are available, but I have seriously teared up at my desk multiple times reading posts about animals that are about to be euthanized.
