Last night was pretty good. We met up with my dad and step-mom for a 3 hour thai dinner. The food was fantastic.
By the time we got home we were both dead tired. We spent some time looking at laminate samples online and have probably picked out our counter top.
Tonight is basically the only night the week we don't have plans, which means we'll be furiously working on the house!
How is everyone today?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Morning,
Found out S is out of work until at least next Tuesday. His accident was more serious than we all initially thought. I'm glad it happened at work and not with Myles in the car.
Today we're just laying low, maybe going to the gym so S can relax in the whirlpool, and I can get a workout it. It will depend on how he feels when I get home.
Otherwise it's catching up on some DVR'd shows.
MO, that's scary about Sean's accident, but glad he's getting some time to recover. Hope he's better soon.
Well I had a crappy evening. After running some errands, we decided to go out to eat. In the parking lot, as I was getting out of my car, a gust of wind blew my door open and I dinged the car next to me. It just so happened that the owner of that car was sitting in it, waiting for someone. I apologized and offered to pay for it, but he freaked out and treated me like I did it on purpose, called the cops (who told her that it wasn't even a reportable collision since we were both parked). I gave her my contact info but she demanded my drivers license number (what's she gonna do with that anyway?). Finally I had to get in the car to deal with a crying baby, and V dealt with her. I'm expecting a call from her today to make an appointment to go to the garage and get a quote on fixing it. I hope it's not too expensive. I feel bad about the whole thing but she didn't have to go treating me like a criminal; she wasn't making it any easier to find a solution, which I was more than willing to do.

Holy crap MO, I missed that yesterday. Here's wishing a speedy recovery to S.
ringy, that blows. What a doodie head.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
raynes- I would love to see what countertop you choose. I looked at countertops and cabinet hardware last night and came up empty. I want laminante also. I have to make a final decision by Thursday and I don't know what I want.
MO- So sorry to hear about S. I am glad Myles wasn't with him, but I hate he is going thru this. Hope he recovers fast.
Ringy- Wow what a witch!
Last night was stressful. We are dealing with problems with my sister and as much as I try to help the more my mom pisses me off. I swear she is worthless. DH keeps telling me to hang on we move in THREE months! Seriously it can not get her soon enough my mom is a nut case who seriously needs help and she is not rational at all talkign to her is pointless she just makes me feel like crap.
DH is off today and the lights and water are getting cut on at our new place so he will be down there today making sure everything goes smoothly. He said he was going to do some yard work while he was at the house and waiting so hopefully that happens. We are having homemade pizza for dinner and I am hoping to tan and relax after last night I need it.
Sending vibes to Sean for a quick recovery!
Ringy - How crappy! I hope everything gets sorted out today and that it doesn't cost too much to fix.
I had a quiet evening. I cooked dinner and did some work around the house. I went to bed early because I was exhausted but don't feel like I slept well. I'm hoping to get to bed early again tonight because tomorrow will be a long day at work. I have a meeting OOT that doesn't start until 4. I don't expect to be home until 8 at the earliest.
crystal, we're going with one of the "colours" from the Formica 180 FX line. It's a granite "look" for waaaay less. It also helps that Tim knows a guy that will be getting it for us for much cheaper than in a regular store.
Here's a shot of the one we picked, it's called Antique Mascarello.
I'm fairly certain they sell those ones prefab in 6/8/10ft slabs at Home Depot.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Mo, hope S has a speedy recovery. Car accidents are no fun!
Ringy, I'm so sorry the guy was so obnoxious to you. My neighbor has been the same way to me about the welcome mat situation (see below). I just don't understand how when you try to do the right thing, apologize, and fix the problem, people can be so rude.
Things here have been hectic. Work is back to being busy, which is good, but I need to get myself into the groove of getting through it all. Today, B and I are refinancing our place. I'm super excited because we got a kick a** rate. Other than that, today should be fairly normal.
An update on the welcome mat situation from last week: I finally heard back from my neighbor on Sunday via email. She wrote the rudest email complaining about how no one should have to see dog poop in our courtyard, how it negatively affects everyone's property value, how the only reason I was writing to apologize was because I must have heard how upset she was, and how she spent a ton of money on the welcome mat. I'm really tempted to write her back and tell her I changed my mind about buying her a new one. But of course, I'm not really going to do that.
Hope everyone has a good day!
Good morning, ladies.
I missed that too, MO - speedy recovery vibes for S.
I hope the repair isn't too bad, ringy. What a jerk - it's not like you did it on purpose.
Work is getting crazy, as it always does this time of year (we call it March Madness too).
Have a great day, everyone!
Pretty!!

Morning ladies.
MO-I hope Sean heals quickly, how scary!
Last night we went to dinner with some friends. It was nice to get out since we are supposed to get quite a bit of snow today. If we don't get the snow I am heading to the library for story time tomorrow morning. Today will be an around the house day.
Have a great day ladies.
Geez, and I agree - why do people insist on being jerks even when you're trying to help?

MO- vibes head your way for S speedy recovery.
Ringy - Hopefully she will realize she is being stupid and relax.
Raynes - Love the look... we are looking into doing counters to such a hard decision to pick the color.
Last night was pretty low key. I finished retouching the engagement pictures I shot on Sunday... I love this couple, they are so so sweet. I can't wait for their wedding in June. DH did some extra contract work to. I am really excited for today I am going and filing a new business licence. Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning! It seems like everyone is having a crappy time. Geez, vibes for everyone.
Mo - I hope Sean feels better soon!
Ringy - what a biotch. I hope you keyed her car without her noticing.
I was late this morning because of a subway delay (boooooo) which meant I was running around frantically once I got in. Usually I have 45 minutes before homeroom starts, so have 3 minutes wasn't enough time to get everything done.
I just got out of teaching math class. There was a lot of attitude this morning and I'm SO not in the mood to deal with it. I'm tired of fighting with kids who don't want to learn. I'm tired of wasting my time explaining things step by step to have them not to a damn thing when I walk away to help someone else. Okay, really, there's just one kid who does this, but yeesh. SO frustrating.
I have my a/s this afternoon (we're still firmly in team green), so I'm ducking out early for that. I was going to leave at lunch and treat myself to a mani/pedi downtown first, but the other teacher I run a Tuesday Girl's Group can't make it today (her mum just got diagnosed with liver cancer), so I have to stick around for it before hitting the road. We're talking body image today with a public health nurse, and I could probably do with being in on the talk. Also, the Squiglet has gone from vague flutters on Sunday to full out kicking last night when I tried to curl up to sleep. It's protesting my position in my chair right now - I guess my posture is bad.
I'm feeling better than I did yesterday about everything - it's been very validating to hear everything you, and my local (HI) board has said. It's okay for me to be feeling what I feel, and not being head over heels in love with any of this is okay. So, again, thank you!

Raynes - love the counter tops, especially the colors.
MO - Hope S recovers quickly, car accidents are so scary.
Ringy & Neptoon - sorry you are both dealing with those 8itches! I can't believe how rude some people can be.
Crystal - ::hugs:: Hope things get better with your mom and good luck with the house stuff today.
Kaesha - hope everything goes well at your appointment today. I love that you are team green, I could never be team green so I think that's really cool when people are.
Nothing exciting to report here. Hope everyone has a good day!
MO - I hope Sean feels better soon.
Ringy -What a witch.
Raynes - Love the counter tops. My friend did the laminate that looks like granite, and honestly I did't know until I touched them. It looks beautiful.
Keasha - Glad you are feeling better today, and enjoy the A/S.
I had a low key evening, and fell asleep pretty early.
Today, I am bummed because I am not wearing my wedding band/engagement ring. I think I am getting eczema right where the ring sits. So today, I am sporting the red, scaley skin look where my wedding band usually sits. I am feeling naked without it, and hoping this is just a couple of day thing.
If any of you ladies have suggestions on a good lotion I can use on it, I would appreciate it very much.
Tonight, another quiet evening at home.
Have a great day ladies.
MO - I hope S feels better soon. So scary.
Ringy - she needs to chill big time. Things like that happen all the time, it's not like you did it on purpose.
I just chilled last night and had a nice talk with my mom. When we told her and dad about baby on skype over the weekend, it was hard to really gauge their reaction. But she told me last night that dad is so absolutely excited about it, and they even popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate. That just made me really happy.
Tonight I'm meeting up with a friend for dinner. She moves back to the US tomorrow and I'm pretty bummed about it. I've had 3 friends in the last 3 months, which totally sucks and is one of the things I dislike the most about living here.

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I've seen the 180 FX stuff advertized there, so I'd assume that yes, they most certainly sell it. I know they definitely sell them as prefab counters too (but only up to 10 feet long).
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
good morning everyone!
MO - hope S recovers quickly!
kaesha - good luck with your a/s! I can't wait for that.
last night was pretty low key - Sean had class, so I had some nice alone time with the couch. I am in the process of switching my anxiety/depression medication and I can definitely feel the effects... I feel kind of off. I'm hoping that once I'm on the other meds full time, I'll feel better.
nothing crazy going on today - looking into booking flights for our trip to Florida for a wedding in June. I'm excited, but nervous, cause I'll be about 30 weeks pregnant. we're booking hotel rooms with friends, so I'm sure they'll be drunk the whole time. hope my patience lasts!

Nothing much going on here today. A friend and I are going to play pub quiz tonight and Little Bit is going on the rice and poached chicken diet for a few days due to an upset tummy.

Wow, everyone has something going on that is less than awesome today. I hope all of your days will get better!
Russ left for work this morning, gone another 2 weeks. As soon as he left the dealership called and said my new seat belts are in. Of course. This always happens as soon as Russ goes to work. I can't be without a vehicle, it's too darn cold to walk with Izaac to get Gibson from school. The best they can do is offer me a shuttle. Oh well, I'm not going in to get it fixed until Russ comes home again. It's just too much of a hassle. I'm really glad my seat belts are in though, it's terrifying thinking they will unbuckle at any given moment,
I really have nothing else to do today, maybe a little laundry and housework, maybe.
Good morning ladies. I'm exhausted. My poor mom fell on Saturday and broke her ankle in 4 places and my step dad isn't what you would call helpful so I've been at her house every spare moment I have helping her out. She goes into surgery at 11 today. My step dad has to go back to work so he can't stay with her, she has listed me as her contact to be updated but I feel bad that no one will be up there right when she is out of recovery. I just don't dare to ask for time off since I just came back from maternity leave but I'll be up at the hospital after work with her. If you have any spare good thoughts/vibes/juju for her that would be great!
I skipped school last night to go help my mom while my sister was at home. She was too busy to come help because she had to watch a movie.
It's weird how I have a full time job, go to school and have a newborn yet I can manage to find the time to help my mom. Geez, siblings!
Tonight will be run home, get the babe and head to the hospital so I'll probably just grab something to eat on the way home. I wonder when I'll ever figure out how to balance everything and not have to eat out.. Lately I'm think that will never happen!
kaesha- I didn't get a chance to write yesterday but I felt the exact same way that you are feeling about being pregnant. I wasn't "over the moon" excited, I was more terrified than anything. I spent more time worrying than actually enjoying the experience. I was really afraid to admit that to anyone and never really did so I think you just talking about the situation is awesome. I think that helps more than we realize at the time. I'll admit I still haven't figured it all out but trust me it all works out how it should.
Neptoon and ringy- Sorry people are such turds! Sometimes I have a hard time finding the good in snotty people. However, that's usually when someone does something nice and restores my faith in people.
MO - how scary but I'm glad Sean is okay. Hope he has a quick recovery.
ringy - that lady sounds like an idiot. I can't believe she actually called the cops.
kaesha - good luck at your a/s. Hope all is well with your LO.
Last night was low key due to my stupid pinched nerve. I still did a ton around the house but I used a heating rice pack and it has helped a lot. I'm actually using it now. Today is work and then I have to make a quick trip to the market. Hope you all have a great day!
MO - hope Sean is feeling better soon
ringy - seriously, how douchetastic is that person? Come on!
Last night we went to our friends to watch the latest episode of The Walking Dead as per our Monday usual. DH and I were both really tired this morning. DH skipped his workout and I planned on having on off day today.
Work was pretty good today. I actually had a partner on my medicine floors today which was nice and make things less stressful. Did lots of problem solving
Tonight we are just going to make some tuna helper and then one of my friends is coming over to help me with some shoes to go with the blue dress for my shower. She's also dropping off my shower present because she said it's too big for her to lug to the shower on Sunday
I'm quite curious to see what it is.
I'm hoping to get to bed at a decent hour tonight so that I can get up and go to the gym in the morning.
