Travel insurance for Cuba?
I've used insuremytrip.com in the past, but they don't insure trips to Cuba.
We're going in September, and the flights are non-refundable, so I'm interested in insurance for those more than anything else. We plan to stay in relatively inexpensive casas particulares and don't need health/evacuation insurance. Any leads? Thanks.
Re: Travel insurance for Cuba?
Can you give me the names anyway? I don't think any US-based insurer will insure a trip to Cuba, and I don't know of any Chilean companies beyond the big travel agents (which we haven't used).
Also, what do you mean that they check insurance details - check that all tourists have some kind of insurance?

Basically yeah, that they check your docs when you come through. But like I said it could just be a nasty rumour.
Covermore is the most common here, otherwise you can insure through some of the private health funds like medibank private
