if you had a shitton of scrapbooking/cardmaking stuff...

and you were fairly certain you wouldn't use it (or, at least, not nearly as much as you have on hand), would you sell it via blog sale or open an etsy store?

we're talking a boatload of paper, embellishments, small album sets.  like, more than i could ever use up in my whole life.  of course, it doesn't help that i don't really do any of it anymore, but that's beside the point.

anyway, WWYD?

  • I am in the same boat (darn part time job at Michaels a few years ago).  I was thinking of just doing eBay, but doing things in lots.
  • Etsy takes a percentage of your sales and it costs money to even list.  I would do Craigslist or see if there is something your local craft store has where people can sell/trade every once in a while (like a yard sale).
Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

  • If you wanted to make some good money off of it, eBay would work well as you could set up the listings for bidding (and/or set a certain "buy it now" price).

Both Etsy and eBay would allow a larger audience than a blog.  I have an Etsy shop, but more so out of hobby, and its a lot of work. My husband sells a bit on eBay and I would probably choose eBay to sell your items.

  • I buy scrapbook stuff online and I like to buy in lots.. Lol just told bf that i am becoming a scrapping hoarder.. he is monitoring my scrap room now! lol
  • You should just box it up and send it to me.  LOL

Sell it on Craigslit, on eBay by lots, have a scrapbook/cardmaking garage sale, or find out when your local scrapbook stores hold their annual 'garage sale'.

  • I just came across this site where you can sell your crafts with no fees. I haven't looked into it too much but might be worth looking into. http://ewillow.com/shop.php

  • On FB there is a group I belong to that people can list items for sale in the area, so maybe that's something you could check into?
