Is Twin Peaks worth my time?
I needed a new show to watch and tried the pilot of Twin Peaks since I remember it being such a hit/cult show and seemed similar to other shows I like. I'm 30 minutes into the pilot and am not impressed. The acting is so over the top and everything is so dated.
I'll probably still watch the rest of the pilot, but does it get any better?
Re: Is Twin Peaks worth my time?
Better is subjective. It's David Lynch....I kind of feel like that says it all.
I still love Twin Peaks after all these years, and think that it is quirky, scary, funny, sad....like a mysterious soap opera in a town full of dark secrets, a place that is both dated and timeless all at once.
I'm so curious about this show, especially since it's a cult favorite and I usually like those (My So Called Life and Buffy anyone??).
Where are you watching it? I want to try it out too!
The beginning of the series is good, but it kind of falls apart later I think.
I enjoyed it, but I was there from the beginning, as a big fan when it first aired. So maybe a large part of the appeal for me was nostalgia. I'm not sure, but I did still enjoy it when I rewatched it last year.
And donuts
I watched it for the first time last year. I really enjoyed it, there's no other show like it.
Netflix streaming. Not sure how many seasons they have.
I watched a bit more before the DD's woke up from their naps and it seems to be picking up. The FBI agent just got to town. I don't mind weird or quirky, so we'll see.
