Re: Divergent: Favorites
Who were your favorite characters and why? Besides Tris and Four, I'm going with Tori because she gave Tris a chance and helped her not be found and Uriah because he also gave Tris a chance and was a good friend to her, even though she was a transfer.
What was your least favorite parts and why? When Tris had to shoot Will. That broke my heart. He was her friend and she didn't want to do it, but had to. Also, when Tris' mom was killed.
Least favorite characters & why? Peter. He sucked. Also, Jeanine for obvious reasons.

Also I hated Marcus, but you're supposed to. I also didn't fully trust/like Christina for some reason, I predict she causes issues in the next book and becomes an enemy b/c of the death of Will.
I will also say I got so sick of the whole "I don't get why you like me" line from Tris. It reminded me too much of the Bella/Edward nonsense from Twilight. If we want to teach our daughters to be strong, self-confident women we should not let them read crap that makes it seem like they must be beautiful or something to get the good guy. Sometimes guys like you for who you are or find you attractive for reasons other than your face/body. I just hated her wining about that all the time.
What was your favorite part and why? Fav parts included the whole capture the flag game and Tris' adventure with the other/older dauntless to zipline down the Hancock building. I thought they showed so much of her character and really explained why she chose Dauntless... and why she deserved to be there. Another favorite part was when she went though the dreamscape with Four.
Who were your favorite characters and why? Beside Tris and Four I really liked Al. I thought he was a good person and I was so sad when things turned with him.
What was your least favorite parts and why? My least fav parts both had to do with Al. I hated that he was part of the group that ganged up on Tris. I really liked him up until that point. I also hated when he commited suicide. I was so sad. I hated that she showed such weakness and that younger children are going to see how the majority of the Dauntless didn't show any sympathy or care that he did that. What is that going to teach people reading this book?!
Least favorite characters & why? I despised Eric. What a slimeball. The way he treated Four just because he ranked higher was absurd. Of course I hated Peter too for very obvious reasons.
I actually didn't think Al committed suicide. I think someone threw him in the chasm. I'm not sure who, though.

My favorite parts all had to do with Tris and Four. I loved the dynamic between the two of them right from the start. I think the ferris wheel scene where she showed her strength and he showed his weakness was pretty defining.
I think my favorite overall character was Four. I liked the mystery behind him since the book wasn't told from his point of view.
Least favorite - when her parents died. I was just oddly very sad for her.
Lease favorite characters - Peter, obv.
