Divergent: Factions Vs Family

Based on your family life and values which faction do you think you would have been born into?

Which faction would you choose at the age of 16?

Do you think that you would chose the same faction today?

What do you think of Tris chosing Dauntless? Was it a good choice for her?

What are your thoughts on people being Divergent?

Your thoughts on the saying Faction before Blood?

Re: Divergent: Factions Vs Family

  • Based on your family life and values which faction do you think you would have been born into? erudite

Which faction would you choose at the age of 16? erudite (but I think I'd be divergent with cantor and amnity)

Do you think that you would chose the same faction today? yes

What do you think of Tris chosing Dauntless? Was it a good choice for her? I think she chose right - she hated erudite and I don't think she would have made it through abnegation

What are your thoughts on people being Divergent? I think we all are a little divergent. I can't imagine people who are so one dimensional that they would fit perfectly in to one faction.

Your thoughts on the saying Faction before Blood? conflicted - I'm not a person who thinks family before all else. I didn't choose my family and even though they are very important to me, they have to earn my respect, just like everyone else.

  • Based on your family life and values which faction do you think you would have been born into?  I couldn't say.  My dad would likely have been Dauntless and my mom Erudite so I would never have been born because they would have never met.

Which faction would you choose at the age of 16?  Likely Dauntless because I like to prove to myself I can do things others won't.

Do you think that you would chose the same faction today?  I still have that quality but not nearly as much as I when I was younger so I don't know.  Erudite appeals to me but sounds sooo boring.

What do you think of Tris choosing Dauntless? Was it a good choice for her?  I'm not sure.  I can't really remember much about her character in the book.  I read too long ago.

What are your thoughts on people being Divergent?  I think it's much better than choosing one of the other groups.

Your thoughts on the saying Faction before Blood? I am not huge on family.  Sure I love my family but I don't have that super closeness others feel toward their family.  I had more of a bond with my military family when I was in the military than I did with my real family so I could see where faction before blood could play in.

  • Based on your family life and values which faction do you think you would have been born into? probably Amity

Which faction would you choose at the age of 16? Amity - it is me

Do you think that you would chose the same faction today? Yes, though I have a feeling Divergent will eventually become a faction and then I would chose that, as I feel most people would. ... Which would lead us to the world we have today where there are no factions and people (good, bad, smart, not so smart, honest, brave, daring) all co-exist together.

What do you think of Tris chosing Dauntless? Was it a good choice for her? I think It was a great choice for Tris as I think the others were too far on the spectrum for what type of person she is. If Dauntless were how it really should have been (not how Eric and others tried to make it) then it was most accepting of other personality traits as well.

What are your thoughts on people being Divergent? I think everyone is Divergent to an extent. What I found odd is that more people were not divergent.

Your thoughts on the saying Faction before Blood? I'm very torn on it. I think that it would be easier for me to say that because I feel like the majority of my family would be in the same faction as me.

Based on your family life and values which faction do you think you would have been born into? Man, this is tough. Well, if we look at this way, my parents were both in the Army, so that would be like Dauntless since they guarded the border. Based on my family's personality, probably Candor or Amity?

Which faction would you choose at the age of 16? Erudite, or stayed with my family.

Do you think that you would chose the same faction today? hmmm, hard to say.

What do you think of Tris chosing Dauntless? Was it a good choice for her? I predicted it at the beginning, when she was watching the D kids leap off the train to arrive at school. Something about it seemed like she envied them or something. Ithink she chose well.

What are your thoughts on people being Divergent? I think it is most realistic.

Your thoughts on the saying Faction before Blood? Ehhh, I kind of don't like it. I can't explain it.
