Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

FYI: Viewing Preferences
I was on the boards for quite a while before I realized that you could change these settings, so I thought I'd share. Instead of viewing the posts in order of their posting, you can choose to view them as of the last post date. So if someone comments on a thread from a week ago, it'll come up in the list as being a recent post.
To change the settings, go to the main Detroit Nesties page and scroll down until you see "Viewing Preferences". Then select "Last post date" and click "Apply"

Losing it...Without Losing it
I feel so special that you asked for my opinion Margaret....lol.
Honestly, I never liked that mode when the board was a lot busier. I always felt like I was missing posts simply because they hadn't been responded to recently and they got "lost in the shuffle" so to speak.
Although now that the board isn't as nuts all the time, I actually like that mode because when I first log on to the board I might see posts from days ago that I'd like to respond to. Yet if someone responds to something from a day or so ago, you'd never know it unless everyone had their settings to "view last post". In essence you see the posts that have the latest responses listed first and know what you've missed right off the bat.
Did that make any sense at all? Emma is still awake and whining in my ear, so I feel like I'm rambling because my brain is being assaulted at the moment.
