Let's Talk Oscar Dresses

I think Emma Stone is freaking adorable.

Emma Stone

Other favs:

Natalie Portman

Penelope Cruz

I don't understand the obsession with Rooney Mara at all. I didn't think she looked that great. Also, Brad Pitt needs to cut his hair.

Re: Let's Talk Oscar Dresses

  • Can't PIP right now.  I loved the the ones that you posted, Kate, but I feel like Emma's would have been more stunning if it had been in a different color like plum!  I'm not a huge fan of red dresses on red heads, but the dress itself was great.

Cameron Diaz and Gwenyth Paltrow's dresses were beautiful, although I keep going back and forth on if I like that color on Cameron or if it made her look a little washed out.  Both dresses were fantastic though.

I was really disappointed with how Sandra Bullock's dress fit her on top.  It was kind of baggy and not flattering.   Angelina's dress was pretty, but her arms were scary skinny to me lol.

  • Angelina's dress was ok for me, but I thought it was ridiculous how she kept sticking out her damn leg through the slit - we see it, settle down!  And I agree with Smitty that her arms were scary.

I did not like Natalie Portman's dress.  It just didn't do it for me.

I was surprised that I liked a lot of the long sleeved dresses.  Usually sleeves don't do it for me.

  • Penelope's dress was gorgeous!

Michelle Williams had a really pretty dress too.

  • I would hav liked Emma's dress except it was way too close to Nicole Kidman's amazing dress from a few years back.

I loved Gwyneth's dress, especially with the cape. All of The Help ladies were perfection. Mila Jovovich's dress was fantastic as well, though her face was weird.

I can't hate on Angie. While I love her as a regal, sleek goddess, i loved the sex pot slit-up-to-there look. And her pose up there while she was presenting about made me fall over. So hot. And while long hair Brad in the 90s was bad, I'm not hating the hair right now. He's so damn hot. Basically, those two can do no wrong.

  • I think Angelina tries too hard. While I don't see the draw in her being sexy (she looks a bit more evil to me, I always think she'd make a great Cruella De Vil), it seemed awkward that she kept posing so unnaturally for her leg to stick out. Just carry yourself in the dress, which I did like, and you'll shine on your own. You shouldn't have to work it so damn hard. I feel like she should be above acting like that.

  • I just saw it as showcasing the dress as it was meant to be seen. I know I'm in the minority, and that's ok.

  • No, I agree with Liz. I thought it was cute/funny/sexy when she posed with the leg out. Nothing wrong with flaunting it a little. And she actually looked a lot healthier than other recent pics, though I agree she needs a little bit more meat on her bones.

  • I like Natalie Portman's dress but the necklace, though beautiful, seems out of place.

I have to admit, I didn't watch the Oscars, just commenting on your PIP. :)
