In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

Post-race workouts

Following my first half, what workouts should I plan to do?

Re: Post-race workouts

  • 1. Rest, shake out the legs, do lots of stretching. I'd give yourself upwards of one rest/easy day per mile.

    2. Do you have anything planned after your first race? If not, decide what kind of level you want to use as a maintenance line. For example, in between my halfs last year I tried to keep about an 8mi base. I didn't have any shorter races in between them though, or else I would have trained for those.
