Piercing opinion question
I picked up a pack of retainers so I could put one in my rook piercing for job interviews. I noticed there was a belly button one too, so for kicks, I decided to see if my belly button piercing hole was still there. It is! So I put a ring back in it, thinking I might keep it in for a bit.
DH saw it and doesn't like it. He said I shouldn't have it because I'm not in college anymore.
So here's the question. Belly button ring at 27: tacky or fine?
Re: Piercing opinion question
One of my best friends is in her 40s and has a belly button piercing. She's also heavy. No one sees it, unless they're her doctor or someone she's being intimate with, and it makes her happy.
If you like it, keep it.
DH practically ripped mine out a few yrs ago. Ironically, I became pregant shortly thereafter and I never put it back in. I tried last week but I think there is some scar tissue on one side and some closure of the hole. I can't get it all the way through. I miss mine.
i think it's completely up to you. I took mine out at 24ish (first year of law school) because I felt silly with it and no longer wanted a belly button ring. But I dont think there is anything wrong/weird/childish/whatever with people who DO want theirs in longer. I think it's a personal decision.

I took mine out a couple months before the wedding because we were going to be TTC. I've never bothered to try and put it back in.
lol that sounds about right. When I was 16, my dad wouldn't let me get it done, so I did it myself. That didn't work out well.
I got it pierced a few years later because of my love of piercings
I have now run out of things I want pierced/would be acceptable in a professional setting.
