Frickin GROSS
Who would have thought I would ever hate Blair?! I am so annoyed at her lately, it's ridiculous. So you were in love with Chuck before the accident and then because Dan decided to wedge his way in after (and after he set you two up...hello...do you not see he is a scheming arsehole?!), you aren't??
I was actually SO glad to see Georgina eff everything up with her. I think Chuck could have done better damage if he was the way he use to be. Oh and finally, Jack is going to come back into the storyline.
Ivy should get knocked the hell out. Money grubber.
Can't wait for Serena to get that pkg and I hope she does become GG and destroys Blair and Dan!

The preview made it appear that they had bad sex so at least there is that.
I have been devoted to this show since the beginning but this season and this episode in particular could be my final straw. Did anyone notice when William van der Woodsen said Cece owned Lily's apartment, that she did it for them as a tax thing. Didn't Lily and Bart buy that apartment together??? It just seemed ridiculous. And now William is also Charlotte's father - these people really need to get out of their own circles.
And really Cyrus couldn't find a loophole, but Blair just trusted that the Estee was able to break it off? Jeez. I just have nothing good to say (well,Blair's hair was looking beautiful and dare I say Serena was appropriately dressed).
I too hope they have bad sex in the next episode even though watching them kiss is so strange to me. It looks like a brother and sister kissing. I have no clue why but it does. THey are the biggest mismatch ever!
I believe Bart moved in with Lily after they got married since he lived in the hotel I think. I would have to watch that season again to make sure.
I knew Lola would be a Van Der Woodson ... it was pretty obvious when they were after him for info as to why she wasn't around...oh I don't know you and Serena have that same sad ass looking face like Billy Baldwin.
Anyone know this answer? : Why does William Baldwin sound exactly like his brother Alec? Really? You have the same voice? My ass you do.
my read shelf:
Wait, they're saying CeCe owned Lily's apartment?
No. I have all the seasons of GG and I watched season 1-3 over the holidays. Bart and Lily bought that apartment together. Lily was living in a suite at the hotel but it was MUCH smaller. They moved in there together with Chuck, Serena, and Eric to join their families right before they got married.
Remember when Georgina was sending Serena those "presents" and Chuck got blamed? Bart made him move out and into his own suite after that.
And William is Lola's father?! Gross.
Definitely not interested in watching. Bad sex or not....it's still gross watching them together.

In the first season, the van der Woodsens lived in the hotel because their apartment was being renovated. In one of the first episodes, Serena eats with Chuck (after hotel kitchen hours) and then he comes on to her and she gets away from him. I think either right before Lily married Bart or shortly after, they moved into the renovated apartment.
I'm really upset at the turn this show has taken. For me, the best part of the show has always been the back and forth of Serena and Blair's relationship and their friendship and I really don't see how they go on from here. Blair and Dan are AWFUL together. I don't even care if Blair is with Chuck - her and Dan is just ew to me. They are way better as friends, for sure. Their sniping is enjoyable then.
I knew Lola was going to be Serena's half sister! I kind of like the Lola character. I don't really like her with Nate, but that's probably because I like Serena and Nate together (even though that ship has sailed - I used to be a big Dan/Serena fan, but I can never ever go back to that).
And Cece leaving all her money to Ivy is ridiculous. I can't stand that character at all. She's a whiny liar. Most of the Rhodes family (minus Lily's sister) was super nice and welcoming to Ivy/Charlie. She is the one who did them wrong, and the only one who was nasty to her was the Rhodes that hired her. Sure, after they found out they had been lied to they were upset and angry with her - but what did she expect?
I honestly feel like my favorite character (Blair) has been completely ruined.
Exactly. The Van Der Woodsen's lived in the hotel because the apartment was being renovated. They moved back in when she was with Bart.
I also agree about the Ivy thing and Blair. She use to be my fave. Georgina has now been put above her and I despised that damn girl.
my read shelf:
So I have the last three episodes saved on my dvr, but I refuse to watch them until I know that Dan and Blair are not going to end up together. I cannot stand it because it is the stupidest decision by the writers. So until I receive word that that little fiasco has imploded, no GG for me.
I haven't watched the last 3 episodes.
How many more are left in the final season?
I can't really say I'm shocked that Blair pulled the "I'm not in love with you (now)" card on Chuck, they've barely interacted in ages. I find her forgiveness of Dan rather stupid, but I can't blame her for falling out of love with Chuck while another guy was around being very "perfect" for her. I do think in the end she'll end up with Chuck, just because the writers aren't stupid (they know what the fans want) and I'm pretty sure the producers said Blair and Chuck were "endgame" a long time ago. It's just a matter of him winning her back. She did say "now", not that she was totally off-Chuck for good.
GG has always had issues with story consistencies, so the apartment thing is hardly shocking. They had to figure out a way to make the Ivy thing more dramatic. Just giving her money (which, to be honest, she deserved more than the rest of them, at least she was there for CeCe) would have been dull. Throwing the VDWs out "on the street" was a big deal. Though the line about not having anywhere to go was ridiculous. Um, you have a step-son who owns a freaking hotel, you don't think he could scrounge up living quarters while you figure out legalities if you didn't want to schlep out to Brooklyn?

The whole Blair and Dan thing is disgusting. DISGUSTING. I was so unreasonable enraged at these two fictional characters hooking up that I almost want to find "Dan" and slap him silly. Ugh.
I wonder if this is going to be like a "Rachel" and "Joey" thing on Friends where they will be a couple for awhile and then eventually realize that they are not a match.
I also don't get why Ivy has her panties in a bunch that the VDWs are upset with her for LYING. That's totally ridic. Did she honestly expect them to say "Oh, honey, it's so ok that you completely lied to us and betrayed our trust and impersonated someone. We forgive you. It was nothing. Where should we go for dinner?"

I don't get why Ivy told them to leave. They're pissed that she lied but they took her in and gave her everything when she had nothing (regardless of them not knowing who she was). They were "the family she never had."
And her voice kills me. I hate, hate, hate it.
Side note: Reading this thread tells me everything that happened during the episode without being subjected to watching. Win!

I agree. It made so sense how she treats them like crap now. Uh YOU lied to THEM. They were nothing but nice to you. Everytime you almost got outed, you lied even more!
