Throw it out?

So...I just realized that K left a few things here (toothbrush, toothpaste, a couple towels). He hasn't tried to contact me since he walked out without saying goodbye on Sunday morning, and I haven't tried to contact him, either. Should I send a message letting him know I have this stuff, or just get rid of it? Or do I wait a couple more days?

Re: Throw it out?

  • I would wait a few more days and then throw it out if he has not inquired for them.  Personally, I might feel the sting/reminder of rejection for the second time if I was asked if I wanted those type of items left after a break-up.  I would want to move on as fast as I could.  But that is just me.
  • I'd throw it in a bag (so it's out of sight) and wait it out a few days.  If he doesn't ask for it back, I'd toss it after a week or so.
  • Thanks, ladies - that was my first instinct, but I thought I'd get your opinions. Into a bag the stuff goes. If I don't hear from him by the time I get back from my conference, into the trash the bag goes.

    Done, and done. Smile

    Completey this.

  • I'd get rid of the toothbrush, but can't you use toothpaste and a few extra towels?  No need to throw those out.

This!  But I like to use old toothbrushes to clean around the faucets and small places that need scrubbing.

  • I'd put everything into a bag and drop it at his place. I couldn't throw it away because I'd hate for someone to do that to me.
