Re: Babies and bumps (to-be)
Happy Wednesday!
I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow, which is still crazy. 6 more weeks of work!
Here's a shot from this morning.
There is no denying that's a pregnant belly now!
Ups, I've got my next doctors appointment tomorrow, and I'll be meeting with the doc that's delivering again. This will be the first regular appointment that Derek will have been able to make (he's been there for u/s's) so that's good!
Downs, little Chewy's most active time is right after I lay down to sleep. It's not bad per se, but some of those movements are getting to be a bit painful/uncomfortable. Usually by the end of the days now I need to be sitting with my feet up, and sort of reclining. My ribs are pretty sore on the front right side by the end of the day too. Fun!
Tomorrow we're going to pay for/order our carpet, which should then be installed next week sometime, which means then I can actually set up the nursery!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Aww Raynes you look great! I love baby bumps.
Ups: Colds are finally out of my house for now. Christian figured out how to use the sit and spin all by himself. He likes to say "Weeeeee" as he is spinning. He also says "Mom" instead of mama, but I think he is overusing it now. LOL
Zach: Continuing to try and say new words. It makes me smile whenever I can figure out a new one. He's still a beast and can eat with the best of them
Big bonus - NO MORE BOTTLES! They are packed away and gone. YAY. I had downsized a while ago (started with 20 bottles, to 10, then to about 6), but is so nice to have more space for sippy cups.
Downs:
-Still trying to get them to fall asleep with water vs milk, and Christian letting me brush his teeth more than a whole 3 seconds.
I am having a hard time with getting P to eat. I hear its normal for kids after the age of one, but I miss my good eater. He use to eat everything you gave him and always wanted more. Now getting him to sit in his highchair for more than 3 minutes is like wresteling a 500lb alligator. He is just way to busy to sit. He also fights me when I put him in the car which is something he has never done before. He wants to be outside all the time. He knows how to open our front door now so we have to keep it locked at all times which is really a pain. I really think he would live outside if I would let him.
Jordan has 9 weeks test next week so our spare time next week will go to that. He is not a kid that doesn't have to study, but at the same time he isn't the kid that has to spend hours and hours studying. As long as we go over it at night for 15-30 minutes he has it so I am not worried about it i am sure he will do great.
Ups: 7 weeks tomorrow, and I'm still feeling really good. I expect the nausea to kick in soon, but I'm happy to avoid it as long as possible. I'm a bit tired, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I told my parents over the weekend and they're really excited. Now I'm just waiting for our next scan in a few weeks and hoping that the little one is doing well.
Downs: Nothing too much. I'm trying to decide what hospital to deliver at, which is a little stressful, since it's hard to ask people's experience without telling them, which I don't want to do yet. I basically have to decide the hopsital before they set me up with a midwife, so I need to decide something soon (although I guess I can always change my mind later)

UPs: Jackson is babbling now, which I think is great. He gets a lot of momma and dadda sounds, but nothing concrete. He's also quite the little daredevil. I'm pretty sure he thinks he can stand and walk, but not so much little man. He likes to throw your hands away from him so he can do it himself, and then he laughs when we have to catch him as he topples over. Stubborn little bugger, but it only seems right, considering who his parents are.
We apparently taught him how to high-5, which is funny. He's always laughing and smiling, and people tell us he's super chill. I just hope it stays that way.
DOWNs: We've been fighting this STTN battle for way too long. I really just need some sleep, and I'm pretty convinced we'll never get it. I'll sleep when I'm dead, right? Thankfully he seems to be on the end of his cold, which was quick. *knock on wood* I can't really sleep in a recliner with a sleeping baby on me.
I'm always really worried his good eating habits are a fluke. Right now he's starting to eat more real food, and he doesn't seem to dislike anything. Then I read other posts about toddlers that go on a streak of hating everything. I'm just hoping that passes us by. Fingers crossed.
You look great Raynes!
I'm still just hanging out waiting to O. It seems like O keeps getting later and later every month, but at least I am O'ing pretty consistently now, in the beginning I had several months I didn't O at all.
I saw a local news story on Monday night about a couple in Denver who went through 3 rounds of IVF before getting pregnant and they believe a diet change was what really helped them conceive their little girl. The women in the story recommended The Fertility Diet book, so I'm going to look into that book.
I feel like if a cycle doesn't work I should look into changing/adding something for the next cycle, at least that way I feel like I'm being proactive.
Raynes, you look great!
I'll be 20 weeks on Friday! The baby is measuring between 19w and 20? w (depending on the parts), so it looks like we're right on schedule.
Uhm, you've already heard my downs for the week, so I won't put those out there again.
Ups: We had our a/s yesterday, and I brought Phil with me so he got to see the Squiglet for the first time. That was really, really cool. He was watching the monitor, while I couldn't see it during the exam, but I got to watch his face. He totally fell a little in love in that hour. That was really lovely. Also, almost as soon as the baby appeared on screen, it promptly scratched its butt, Homer Simpson style. I couldn't stop laughing about that. I know it's not aware of what's going on, but man. Talk about impeccable timing. Any question that this is my child does not take after my family should just be thrown out the window.
edit: here's the a/s photo!

We are doing great. Gabe slept 10 hours straight last night which was awesome. Lately, we can give him his pacifier, lay him down and walk away. He falls asleep on his own, I never thought that would happen. We've come a long way. The last 2 days he has been hard to get down for naps so I'm not sur what's going on there.
His teeth are really bothering him his week. Poor little guy, that makes me feel so helpless.
We (gasp) started ceral this week which is going great. He loves eating and he seems to be much more satisfied. We will be taking solids very slow but he was not getting full with BM only.
Phoe is sitting up unassisted for a bit which is so fun. He also rolls all over the place and scoots around. I'm in trouble when he crawls, you can tell he is ready to explore everything!
Love that bump, raynes!
kats, I love your updates since your boys are almost exactly a year older than Darian... it's like a glimpse into the future, haha.
I finally got a picture of Darian's first tooth. Photographing (or even looking at) baby teeth is not an easy thing! (Not terribly visible in a small pic but it's that little white bump on the bottom)
Ups: Things have been pretty good. Darian's over his cold now. Between that and the teething pain gone for now, he's been in a really good mood lately. He was even happy at swimming yesterday.
He's also been really good with getting up on all fours, although at the moment he's still too chicken to lift any hands off the floor, so he's not quite crawling yet. For now, I'm enjoying these last days of a (relatively) immobile baby.
Downs: V and I just can't quite agree how to sleep train Darian. Every night seems to be different with how he sleeps; he CAN go for up to 5 hours at a time, but anything can throw a wrench into that - colds, teething, growth spurts. We'd love for him to at least be consistent with a 5 hour stretch, and eventually work up to 8+ hours.

ETA: Dur, I accidentally hit post before I wrote anything.
kaesha, that was the same situation with my ultrasounds (I wonder if we're at the same hospital). I really loved watching V's face during the scans even if I couldn't watch the screen myself.

I forgot to PIP.
Enjoying bath time, not enjoying the teeth.
raynes, lookin good! I can't wait to see what the little one looks like. It's going so fast (for me anyways!)
Ups: We have a pretty good routine down now that I've been back to work for a few weeks. She is still sleeping 5-7 hours each night for about 4 weeks now. Shots on Friday went well, she only cried/screamed for a minute, I think it was harder on me! She didn't seem too fussy afterwards either. I know I lucked out with such a good baby and I'm so thankful! We also officially have a smiling baby. I adore that gummy smile, I'm a sucker for it!
Downs: Jason is really pushing getting her into her crib. She is just over 8 weeks and I'm not ready for that yet. I know I'll be a mess when we do it. She wouldn't be far from us but I like that I can just open my eyes and check on her. Jason and I are also still working on balancing the parenting with all the other obligations we both have. Some days are better than others but I'm hoping that as long as we keep trying to communicate it can only get better.
And just for comparison (and because I also jumped on the monthly picture bandwagon) here is month 1 and month 2 pics. I can't believe the difference, she is growing so fast!
Happy leap day! Everyone in my whole life is pushing for me to have this baby today because of the leap year, and I'm firmly keeping my legs crossed! I have a Dr. Appt in about 3 hours and I'm praying this baby is close to coming out. I can't sleep because my hips hurt so bad, and I'm having a hard time breathing. It's like I don't get enough air just from breathing through m nose, so I sleep wih my mouth open and wake up with a sore throat!
Ive really got to start getting more stuff done. I swear I will today and tomorrow. I have clean laundry in the pnp next to our bed that I just havent put away and the stroller and swing still need to be put together, as do the letters and pictures for the nursery walls.
I'm to that point where I get daily texts asking if he's here or of I'm having contractions. I know people are excited, but really? Everyday? You'll know when he's born, and I you don't, I probably don't even like you so stop texting me! Ugh that felt good to say.
Have an awesome Wednesday everyone!
^ Nesting. He's coming!

Raynes-you look wonderful pregnant!
Snoopy-I hope you get some sleep soon
Bailey-good luck with your next cycle...I just know things are going to come together for you soon!
Ringy-Darian is too much. He's like, Gerber-baby adorable
chicha-definitely no leap year baby! I have a friend who was born on leap year and it upsets her to no end that she can only celebrate her real birthday every 4 years. Keep crossin' them legs!
It looks like me and the hubs will be putting a hold on our TTC plans
We were going to start trying around May but we're a little unsure of our careers right now. DH was up for a promotion that we thought would give us the financial stability we wanted before bringing a child into the world but it fell through, and the store I work at might be closing by year's end. Needless to say we're not feeling like it's the best time for us to have a child and I'm completely bummed out about it and hoping things turn around.
Olivia has started giving her version of kisses. She will put her mouth on my cheek and say muah. It's the cutest thing. She also loves music and besides dancing she tries to sing. I haven't shared pictures in a while, so here are a few.
First time on the swings a few weeks ago.
10 months.
Even when she's upset she looks adorable.
hola ladies! ringy - Darian has GOT to be the cutest thing ever. Bailey - keep your head up... I'm sending you tons of vibes for this cycle! raynes - I lurve your bump.
nothing new to report here. I'm 14 weeks as of yesterday... sometimes I feel like time is moving so fast, and other days, I feel like I'm so behind (I'm due at the end of August, so my BMB ladies are all ahead of me).
ups - I have energy again! not a lot, but I'm finding myself doing much more around the house than I have been for the last few weeks. I also started a registry on Amazon (with the help of girl-23 and ECHC) for my cloth diapering needs. I'm getting ridiculously excited about CDing.
also - 5 weeks until our a/s and until we find out if we have a Kinley or a Ronin!
downs - I've been having pretty severe RLP for several weeks... and it's much lower than what I've heard is normal. I asked my OB about it last time I was there and although she assured me it WAS ligament/stretching related, she said it was lower than usual (it's around the right side of my groin, like where my bikini line is). my next appt is with my NP (who I usually see), so I'll get her opinion about it as well. it hurts constantly and not just when I sit up fast/twist like normal RLP. weird.

I'm so late to the game today!
Here is my 33w1d bump. I feel like I'm getting enormous now!
ups - the baby has been really active the past few days. It's pretty cool. I think it feels different because of my anterior placenta but I can't really tell what is going on up front and on top, just a lot of movement.
My baby shower is on Sunday and I'm pretty excited. This Saturday we are going to take the guest bed out of baby's room and put the changing table and glider and ottoman in and kick the cats out in preparation for putting all baby's things in on Sunday. I hope the cats do ok with this.
Tomorrow is my first 'every 2 week' appointment. I'm excited to get to go in more often. My OB is away and I'll be seeing an associate. Since whoever happens to be on call that night will deliver, it will be nice to meet someone else that might end up being my OB on delivery day.
Still keeping up with the exercise! Hoping to get a good 4 mile run in before my 9am appointment tomorrow.
downs - not too much right now. Still sleeping pretty well. I do feel like I'm running out of room for food so sometimes after I eat, I realized I've had too much after it's too late and feel like I might puke. I'm trying to get used to eat way less, more often.
I don't know if it's the weather, but I am really exhausted today. I hope it isn't a sign for how tired I'll be the rest of this pregnancy.
I just have to say I love seeing all the babies and bumps in the pictures. It always makes me smile.
We just started cycle 3. I am hoping this is it but I don't have my hopes up. Do any of you ladies know if there is a correlation between anxiety medication and fertility? DH started medication almost a month ago and I am just curious.
I'm late to this post.. as always I love the bumps!
UPS here: Noah is crawling and climbing and getting into everything, I guess that's an UP and DOWN. His two bottom teeth are all the way in now so he's over the teething pain for now. He's been in a good mood the last couple days and sleeping pretty well too.
DOWNs - well, he's climbing everything, pulling himself up to everything and getting into trouble the best he can. He laughs when I say "No, Noah" and he's so cute that I can't stay mad, It's hard to teach him No and That will hurt you. He doesn't get it.
