I finished this pleated pouch from A Lemon Squeezy Home. Mine isn't as "lemon squeezy" as the one in the tutorial, but I like it a lot

I also blogged about it
here.

Zippers totally scared me until I found a really simple project that explained how to use them (a zippered pouch tutorial from Skip to My Lou http://pinterest.com/pin/145733737911543469/). You can do it!
Thanks everyone! I love pretty much any color with gray so this was a perfect combo for me.
Zippers scared me too (and still do to some extent), but once I had a few projects under my belt I realized they weren't so bad. With most things sewing-related I've decided that nothing bad can come of trying.

Yep! What is wrong with your sewing machine? Or are you just lacking in the time department? You do seem to keep yourself quite busy!!
Today Instead of Working
It's skipping stitches. A lot of stitches. I haven't had it serviced....uh....ever. And I've had it for years. Oops. So I'm sure that's the problem. But the shop that does the best work takes FOREVER...well, forever for someone who wants it back today. I'm sure if we lived closer, you'd share your machine, right?
It looks great!
I've never attempted a zipper, maybe I'll try this tutorial. Thanks for the link!
Of course! I'm a sharer...but 3000 miles is a bit of a trek, even for crafty endeavors.
Boo to skipping stitches and a slow service shop, though!
You have taught me an important lesson. Get my machine serviced. It's probably about time.
