s/o Cell phone companies

I went into the retail store in the shopping center I work in and talked to the manager there. He understood why I was frustrated and agreed my phone shouldn't shut off because of Gmail, but more because of going from 4g to 3g but it shouldn't happen when I'm only in a 3g network. So since I was nice to him and he understood my frustration, I got put into a new phone free of charge. He was going to have it shipped to me but he said I've been through enough with my old phone that he was going to exchange it in the store. My faith in Verizon has been restored.

  • I am glad to hear a happy ending to this saga and that you found someone you could effectively communicate with to resolve the situation.

Yes  good follow-up, and I am glad you don't have to pay to break your contract.

  • Write the company about what was bad and good about your experience and what you expected.  Be as specific as possible.  They really do use customer feedback letters to train people, and they'll probably give the guy who finally helped you an "attaboy".

I'm going to. I'm going to see if I can get the store manager's email and email him/her. I'm going to email the company too. I'm just glad the guy I worked with was really nice and didn't upset me at all. He actually made me laugh a few times to ease my pain lol
