Good runs make everything ok

Yesterday was one of those bonkers days where I wasn't sure if I could keep my act together all day. I ended up skipping my run because I just couldn't find 30 mins to squeeze one in. <-- I am usually pretty good about making time, not a big excuse maker here.  This morning started off crazy too and I didn't get a chance to run before work. I could feel my stress levels rising as I rushed home at lunch to let my dog out, but then I realized that if I took 1:15 for lunch instead of just an hour, I could squeeze in a run and a quick shower. I decided to go for it. I feel a million times more relaxed now, I am able to concentrate so much better than I was able to yesterday or this morning, and I my outlook has dramatically improved. Yay for good runs! (Or any runs!)

I may start doing more 75 minute lunches and chalk it up to improved work/life integration. I sure spend a lot of my life time talking to people on the other side of the world; the people on this side may be willing to give me an extra 15 minutes. Surprise

  • That's awesome - I am already considering the lunch time run when I come back to work. I think you deserve that extra 15!

  • Running keeps me sane these days.

I was a huge fan of lunch time work outs after having DD1. I hope you can work it out.

  • From what I have seen, you spend a lot of extra time working at home in the evenings as well.  I think you deserve that extra 15!!  heck, make it 30!
