Vent: dear nurse...

I'm not mad. Just annoyed. A nurse at my obgyn just called to confirm my 9.5 week ultrasound tomorrow. Seriously?! Look at my chart, lady! Not only do I not need the ultrasound, I really don't want a reminder  Judd and I were looking forward to that appointment. Needless to say, I left an "interesting" voicemail for them to find in the morning. Do your research.

  • I swear the $hit I hear that goes on with ladies who have suffered miscarriages.  It is such a painful thing, you think there would be more sensitivity from medical professionals.  I'm sorry.

  • How awful. They really should check before calling.

  • I'm so sorry, that's horribly miserable and you shouldn't have to deal with that (HUGS)

  • I'm so sorry :(

I have to admit that I have done this before, almost exactly the same situation. I used to work for an OBGYN who also practised dermatology out of our office, and she occationally had us phone and remind c-section patients what time they should be at the hospital and what to do when they got there. I called one woman (I knew nothing about her, she was just on my list) and I asked her if she was excited to have her baby and she said 'well no, considering I'm going in for a D&C' I felt so horrible and decided not to ever deviate from the standard reminder.
