Da da da...another one bites the dust
After almost 6 years of running, and almost four years of losing only the "index" toenail on my right foot (2x/year, usually)...the index toenail on my LEFT foot bit the dust yesterday. This, I'm pretty sure, is a direct result of a snowy 11 miler last month that resulted in two weeks of some pretty gnarly left knee pain...and also a sore left index toe. Damn you, snowy conditions messing with my gait!
(and before you say anything-no, its not my shoes. I've run in 3 different brands/styles of shoes, all a full size bigger than my normal shoe size. I blame my longass index toes. And the running.)
Re: Da da da...another one bites the dust
I have the same problem with my index toes, those are always the toenails I lose. I fear the one on my right foot will never be the same.
And yes, I've tried all different shoe styles and sizes and switched socks, too. I don't even have long index toes (they're the same length as my big toe, maybe a hair shorter) so I cannot figure it out!

I so thought you were going to make a big announcement...
Toenails are way overrated anyway.

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH.
Not 'til after my sister's wedding in August.
And I agree...Toenails are highly overrated.
I thought the same thing...

Touche. Let me amend my statement...we are not PLANNING on TTC until after my sister's wedding in August. And ideally I would prefer to wait until my annual in Sept to talk to my OBGYN about stuff. Babies have other plans but it will take an act of God for me to get knocked up between now and Sept.
