How long are the stops on Southwest

I'm trying to book my parents a flight and it says there are 2 stops on the way. One is a plane change and see the layover time, the other stop doesn't give time.  I'm assuming you don't get off the plane but how long are you sitting there

Re: How long are the stops on Southwest

  • There's really no set amount of time, but I think most are in the 45 minute range. You could call them and ask for the arrival/departure times of the stopovers.

  • I agree with PP, usually around 45 minutes.

  • We had a stop on our last Southwest flight, it did not seem long at all. As others said, just long enough to get everyone else off and on. and you get to move around and switch seats if you didn't like the ones you got on the first leg!
