It seems we all talk so much about all the bad things that the guys in our lives are doing. Let's brighten the moment a little bit! Those of you that have SO's, tell us something nice/sweet that they've done recently! And if you don't have an SO, pick any man in your life, even the wee little ones!
I got a text message today that made me smile when I definitely needed it: "Hey, sexy ;-) I just wanted you to know that you're always on my mind! I hope your day is better than yesterday was. And I can't wait to see you again!" It was great to know that even though he'd seen me Friday night, Saturday night, all day Sunday, Monday night, and Tuesday night that he was excited to see me again.
Your turn!

Re: Tell me something nice your SO has done for you recently
I can't pick just one...
1. got me a shamrock shake after a long/sad day at work
2. sends me funny pictures/videos of the cat or dog to make me laugh during the day
3. spent the afternoon with my mom yesterday without me there and made plans to build her a fireplace mantle. my mom is the most indecisive, flip-floppy person on the planet, so it couldn't have been a fun or easy afternoon for him (and he never ever complained).
4. He cleaned the house including laundry, mopping floors, bathrooms & dishwasher because I had been doing most of the chores lately while he picked up hours at a second job. It was awesome to not have to worry about it and be able to relax!
1. The other morning it was bitterly cold, so he went out and started my car 15 minutes before me and DS has to leave for the day
2. We were at a Hibatchi restaurant last weekend, and when our cook asked him if he had kids, he replied yes. I know that's not something sweet he did FOR me, but it melted my heart hearing him say that
3. He told me that since it's so important to me, we can find a way to work THESE into our wedding budget. It's an outdoor ceremony/tent reception and my guests comfort is a priority to me. I hope they appreciate it!
4. We had Subway for dinner the other night, and he brought home a foot-long of my sub so that I could have a sandwich for work the next day.
He dropped me off outside of the restaurant we went to last night, and then went and parked himself so that I wouldn't have to walk so far in the rain.
My roommate and I have had ants invading our house recently (they tend to, with changes in the weather), and he's been SOOOO helpful with spraying and stuff to get rid of them. I hate bugs. *shudder*
He told me that I was his best friend. It is a little thing but it meant a lot.

I am really, really so lucky. He is a total sweetheart -- he's very affectionate and demonstrative. He tells me he loves me and that I'm beautiful all the time. He also makes it a point to do lots of very sweet little things to let me know I'm cared for.
Highlights:
- When I ran out of oil and it was 50 degrees in my apartment, he stopped at WalMart after his shift (at 3:30 a.m.), bought me a space heater, and then set it up for me while I slept. Woke me up to tell me it was there, give me a kiss and give me another blanket.
- He will often wake up in the middle of the night and do my dishes. Yeah, I will leave dishes in the sink overnight. Shut up!
-Last week, I had an early morning meeting, and he showed up at my place at 6 to serve me breakfast in bed and make sure I was up and at 'em and would be on time.
I'm so keeping him.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
He sends me charming emails every day at work; lunch out every other Friday; and occasionally will go out and buy some thing or other I've mentioned I wanted. Like last night, he took me out to get a purse I wanted.
I don't think I am nearly as nice to him.
I posted about this the other day, but my dog ate my Garmin wristband. I went online to find a replacement. I found some and sent him a link to get his opinion on which one to buy. He responded with something along the lines of, "one has been ordered for you already, along with some other gifts."
He actually does so many things for me on a daily basis...
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
In my BF's stocking last christmas was a small bionicle toy that he assembled and keeps at his desk. He calls it the "Guardian" because he used to hide chocolates under "Guardian's" foot for protection.
Every couple of days, he re-poses guardian doing something new and sends it to me in a text message (especially if it is a rough day). Today, its Tebow Guardian...
I had to work all last weekend, so he did everything around the house - cooked, cleaned the dishes, took the dogs out, etc. I worked from home on Monday, so I reciprocated by straightening up and vacuuming and dusting the house.
He also makes up silly songs about me and the dogs. They're always set to the tune of the "Comet, it makes your mouth turn green" song.
Oh, and on Monday evening he helped me touch up the paint in my old condo. I could tell he was bone-ass tired, but he never even thought to just let me do it on my own.
He sent me flowers at work for no reason except that he knew I was having a rough/stressful week. Pretty tulips in a white pitcher on a snowy icky day make my world a better place.
