Anyone eat tofu???

Anyone here eat tofu???  I have been thinking about adding it to my diet.  Like last night I had a craving for sauteed peppers and onions so I ate just that.  I didn't want any chicken or beef with it and then I thought about maybe I should get some tofu and that could have added some protein to it.  Just wondering if there is a certain kind that you recommend, stay away from, etc??  TIA!

Re: Anyone eat tofu???

  • Are you specifically looking for soy/ tofu protein or just a textured vegetable protein (aka, meatless meat)?

I think Anasara could weigh in on this in terms of the best tofu to try out.

I think the soy/tofu protein.. the real basic off white stuff I guess.  I am just looking for some added protein that will sorta just absorb the flavors of whatever veggies I am cooking without adding a ton of calories.

  • We eat Boca Burgers, but not on an actual patty like a burger. They are tasty. I don't know how to cook tofu in any other form.
  • We do! I usually marinate it then bake it. I always buy extra firm tofu.

    We also love tempeh.
