H and I got into our new rental house last night and I just noticed that the`utility room only has a gas hookup for the dryer and doesn't have a special plug for it. We have an electric dryer so that's going to be a problem. Anyone been in this spot before or have a solution? I love my dryer and it's only 6 months old

Re: Well crap
I don't even know what a gas hookup for a dryer looks like, or if it's something you can change. When we got here I noticed our outlet was a 3-prong and our dryer had a 4-prong plug so we had to change the cord. Luckily my friend I moved with is married to an electrician because she did it all for me. The people at Lowe's were super helpful though when we asked and they told us exactly what we needed to buy. We also were able to google some how-to sites and found pictures to follow.
I just tried googling a bit and from what I found your best option is to have an electrical outlet installed.
