What are we thankful for this week?
Re: Thankful Thursday
I am thankful that even though I am home sick with a horrible stomach virus, that I do not have a terminal health condition.
I am thankful I have plenty of sick days and did not have to worry about being sick and missing work three days this week.
I am thankful that even though my MD is out on Thursdays, she now has a partner who could get me in.
I am thankful for fruit punch Gatorade! I drank orange gatorade when I was little but then had not drank Gatorade in years. A year and a half ago when I was sick DH had some fruit punch Gatorade and gave it to me and now I was craving it again since I was sick so he got it for me. Plus the electrolytes help since I am so dehydrated!
I am thankful for my comfy bed and couch since I have spent the last three days sleeping on them!
I am thankful for my mom who is coming and bringing dinner since DH is at class.
I am thankful that I have a three day weekend.
I am thankful for the smiles and "talk" my DD gives me when I get home from work. I love my job, but I hate leaving her, but the smiles and giggles when she sees me get home are all worth it.
Thankful for good friends who take me as I am, someone who is learning who they are as a parent, than those who have completely cut me out since they found out about my pregnancy instead of waiting to see that I am still me, just me + a little more now.
I'm thankful that I was able to get an offer, though I ultimately declined the job. I'm thankful for the interview experience, as the next interview I get will most likely be for a full time position.
I'm thankful for the staff at the school I'm subbing at. While I declined the 6 week position, and right after it my 2.5 week leave for March was canceled, the team of teachers all started booking me on the spot for dates between March and May. They've also said they'd take some mental health days just to keep me working.
I'm thankful that while I'm feeling a little crummy that I haven't had any major illness this year. It surprises me a little because the kids are sick ALL of the time, but I'm thankful since I don't get paid sick leave as a sub.
I'm thankful for my husband, who is supportive of me no matter what decisions I make.
I'm thankful my sister made it home from S. Korea today after living there for the past year.
I'm thankful I have Monday off. My class is meeting from 9-4 on Sunday 2 hours away from me. It'll be a long day after this long week.
