I thought that was a really cool challenge that forced the designers to think in new ways. I hope they repeat this challenge in future seasons. I think it has real potential to create some amazing work!
Austin - It would've been amazing with more depth. Like real space with some stars farther away from others.
Kenley - the jacket was really interesting. But still she's blah.
Michael - I liked his Ninja idea, but it just wasn't that great on the runway.
Mondo - I thought his was really boring honestly, and had the same flaw as Michael's. Just looked like tape on black to me.
Jerell - I loved that he used the... whatever it's called, those tiny micro led lights. But they did not have enough punch on the runway.
Re: Project Runway 3/1
because she literally makes the same dress EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. and has from the beginning. she just tweaks it for the challenge.
and i want to gouge out her eyes.

I loved Kenley's, hated Austin's, and the rest were fairly meh to me.
Kenley reminds me of Jess on "New Girl" in attitude, dress, looks, behavior, basically everything. I swear, the character could be based off her.
I thought this was going to be incredibly cheesy, but I ended up really liking the challenge and what the designers did. All of them were very visually interesting, where they were good or not.
I love love LOVED Austin's. I thought that and Kenlee were the only two true avant garde designs out there.
It's about time Jerrell went home. But it was a win win either way because I wouldn't have been sad if Michael C went home either.
Except that Jess isn't a b!tch, and actually cares about other people and what other people think of her. I don't think Kenley cares about anyone but Kenley. Huge difference imo.
I thought the challenge was very cool, so out of the box and interesting.
Too bad for Jerrell, I would've liked Michael to go home on this one; but that weird maxi skirt under his dress was just sooo ugly. It would've been better as leggings if he wanted it the design to show up against black rather than her skin tone in the dark.
I also loved Austin's though I too would've liked it to go further as far as the layering of the tulle and the lights so it wasn't just strung around on top of it. But it was pretty cool. Too bad his mustache is still there in the episode! lol

I think Austin's could have been so much cooler. It was really pretty within the constraints of the competition, but I agree w judges commentary that the dress shape itself was amazing but the lights were sorta just put on...
