Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Changes on TN?
What has everyone heard?
I've read a few posts across other boards on the nest and bump and I'm getting a little worried.
Apparently, they were adding "like" buttons to posts. Although people would always joke about "ohh I wish I could like this post!" What the nest/bump/knot was going to do was give you the option to "like" a post, but it would do it through your facebook, and it would link it do you FB page.
However, I also read in a response to a thread that someone heard that they've already promised to get rid of the like and tweet options.

I guess you can check out your local boards, because those are the ones that have already been changed over. IF YOU DON'T WANT IT LINKED TO YOUR FACEBOOK, DON'T LIKE SOMETHING! I know that I never signout of either, so I'm assuming that's how they would link them if I didn't ask them to?
Anyone else heard anything?

Linking TN to FB is a terrible idea - especially since I think most people on TN like to remain anonymous or semi-anonymous. I'm glad they've done away with that.
I'm kind of digging the ability to switch between Chicago weddings, nesties, and babies easily, though. Maybe it'll increase traffic on the super-dead Chicago TN board!

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but wasn't that there before? Who knows, I wasn't on my local board enough to know anyways. There were pretty much only posts asking for recs of the casinos haha.
I also heard that they were canceling the Fb/twitter links...which is a good thing! I was going to have to GBCN if they kept those. My anonymity on here is really important.
I hate how tn/tb are always making changes. It's getting kind of annoying.

This exactly! I do have an AE that I've never used, because I made it way back when I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep this one. I would either GBCN or switch over with no pics or antyhing.
