Roadtrippers- gas cards?
My friend is moving from Ohio to Colorado and I'd like to put together a going away present that consists of restaurant and gas gift cards. I know some major gas chains around here don't go across the country- are my national options BP and Exxon?

Be careful with the prepaids - the place sometimes put holds on them for more than what was probably spent on gas. If they want to use part of hte card for gas and then immediately get something else, the card may be declined.
My advice is use gasbuddy.com and put in the addresses where they are traveling. It will tell you want gas stations are on the way.
I would NOT do prepaid visa cards because they do put a hold on the card for more then they you use and it could take 30 days for the hold to come off.
