Poll: Have you ever run in costume?

If so, what did you dress up as?

DH and I signed up for our first Warrior Dash this summer and we're brainstorming outfit ideas ;)  We have four other friends in our same heat and we're debating doing something as a team of six or just the two of us.

The most I've ever "dressed up" for a race was jingle bells for the arthritis run or decked out in a specific color for cure events.

I'd love to hear any fun ideas you have.  Thanks!

  • A whole bunch of us ran the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon last weekend. Here are my pics along with another nestie's too. Most of us wore tutus and tiaras.

  • I have made tutus before and run in one, just make sure you have it short enough or it will go between your legs and then it looks like a diaper!  I also have worn a super man shirt with a red bathing suit bottom over top blue spandex pants.  Super hero running costumes are pretty easy to put together as well and comfortable.

  • Cute, love the tutus gals.  Those will NOT work under barbed wire though ;)  I see only bad things happening there, haha.

  • I've run in costume a few times - once as a turtle in a tutu {with homemade fabric shell!}, once as a jazzerciser, once as Recyclops. I always make sure the clothes work with running and usually incorporate actual running clothes.

The past few years I've run a halloween half and put together a bunch of photos from the races: http://bit.ly/sxoGai

...yeah, don't go with a tutu if you're going to get wet! We did tutu turtles for the Muddy Buddy which involved crawling thru a mud pit. I may have lost my poor tutu in that mud then spent quality time in mostly see thru black tights...thank you mud for the coverage you provided!
