We're completely fine.

The tornadoes that went through Friday missed us. We had some high winds but nothing crazy and points during the afternoon where it rained sheets of water.

There's a small town in the next county over that wasn't so lucky. They were hit with an F4 (those who remember in May when the two tornadoes hit my town-they were F3's). Homes there are just destroyed and my friend of 20 years lost her uncle in the tornado. Please keep her and every one else who lost their homes and most importantly, loved ones in your T&P's if you could.

Thanks girls xoxo

  • I guess I should update, too since we were in the middle of it as well.  Our little pocket of the countryside never even lost the sunlight.  I stood outside on my road and watch everything go north and south of us.  But there was a great deal of damage in the places that it did go, especially to our north.  I don't know if there were any fatalities or not, but people are going to need some time to recover from 2 severe storm waves in 3 days.

Glad you guys are okay! I've been trying to text you but our phone service is still kinda shotty right now. I heard there were 19 deaths in Kentucky and 14 in Indiana.

In our town, it just looked like a thunderstorm. I thought,"Oh this is nothing." Then I heard the town got hit in the next county. It totally threw me for a loop. Did you hear about Henryville, Indiana? They got hit HARD. Like, scary hard.

  • Glad you guys are all okay! I am so terrified of tornadoes, way more than any other kind of weather/natural disaster. Sending T&Ps to all those affected by the horrible storms.

  • Glad both of you are okay! I've lived here all my life yet I still hate tornados. There's nothing more scary than that tornado alarm.

Nothing really happened here either but we just watched it to the south of us and were ready for it.

  • I'm glad to hear you guys are all ok.  That's super scary!

  • Glad you are both ok. I was never afraid of tornados until I got pregnant. We used to go out and watch them form. We hardly ever went to our basement unless we saw it.

My friend was driving from Muncie down to KY on Friday, and she said they shut down traffic on I-65 before Henryville because of the tornado going through.  So she drove by it about a half hour after it happened.  She said that people's cars were just abandoned on the overpass and all the semi-trucks were twisted and mangled.  Awful awful.
