Potential buyers came back to look at the house for a 2nd showing, stayed an hour!

***I hope this is a good sign!!!!***

We had a showing earlier today.

Then our realtor called before and said the people were out looking at houses all day long, and our house is at the top of their list... can they come look again?

So thankfully the kids hadn't pulled all their stuff out just yet.... and we just needed about 15 minutes to get everyone ready and out the door (a record with 3 kids, haha)

They were here at 2:30... when we came by at 3:20, they were still here! We drove around some more, and they left right around 3:30. We noticed they were driving around the neighborhood, probably getting a feel for the neighborhood.

But they were here an hour! And it was their second time here today!

My realtor said that their realtor is "98% certain" they will want to put in an offer....

Please pray! Fingers crossed! Good juju! Good vibes!

  • That is not a "good" sign, that is a GREAT sign! I know when we were looking for our first house, we only did one second showing (also that same day) and then put in an offer that night.

    Good luck!!

  • Good luck!  Like PP, that's exactly what we did before we put in an offer Smile

  • DH and I spent an hour at a house the other night, went back today and are thinking about putting an offer in tomorrow. The only reason we're on the fence is that it's overpriced and we don't want to feel like we're "low-balling". I'd say if they were there for that long, the odds are good that they're very interested.
  • We went back for a 2nd showing on 2 houses and brought our parents to both of us as they live locally and have more experience in this than we do.  We brought them to 1 that we didn't buy, and the house we eventually bought.  The first house we brought our parents to but upon second look we decided that there was a dealbreaker on the house and we walked away from it.  On the house we bought there were little things they didn't like about it (style of the home and they felt the street was too busy) those things didn't bother us and we ended up putting in an offer that night.

Good luck!  Hopefully nothing was a dealbreaker for them and you get an offer!

  • The 2nd showing itself isn't such a major sign - we've revisited multiple homes - but the duration of their visit sounds VERY promising!  We're going back to visit a home on Thursday and planning to go through each room with a fine tooth comb to document the existing shape and what we'd need to do before moving in, as well as any extenuating circumstances to consider in our offer.  My fingers are crossed for you!
