Help me find cheap plane tickets!

I saw your reply to my post on MM about your multi-destination travel from Hawaii that was relatively low-cost, any tips on where to look that I might be missing?

Re: Sibil

  • I had asked on the travel board for a search engine where I could just put "anywhere" from my hnl and sort by price.  Only, I can't find that post, and I reformatted my computer without saving my bookmarks :(

I'll keep trying to find that post.  It isn't easy when I have no idea what my subject way.

ETA I figured it out!  skyscanner.com You can type "everywhere" for the destination, and then you can limit by a date range.  It then pulls up the countries, sorting by lowest price, and you can drill down from there.

I'm not seeing the 400ish Canada flights anymore :(  I guess it's too late for me to take that ski trip to Banff, anyway.

  • Awesome! I found HNL to Boston for my travel dates for $979/pp roundtrip...already better than the $1300+ I have seen elsewhere. Thanks for the tip! Another travel site to add to my list. I love that you can search 'everywhere'.

Oooh 400 to Canada? That would be sweeeeet.

P.S. Aren't you the one who posted about just picking up and traveling for a while? Did you decide to go ahead and do it? I am totally envious that you are in a position to consider doing that, how awesome!

  • Yes, I was planning on that.  Stupid me, to use the word "plan" with the air force.

H's dates got pushed back a couple months, and I don't think I can justify waiting even longer to find work.  They didn't even have a good reason for pushing it back, just b/c the guy he's replacing asked for it.

And then I felt like a bad wife b/c he was kind of excited b/c it means he's with me longer.  And I'm all disappointed that it totally effed with my world traveling backpacker plan.

  • Ugh, bummer! I was looking forward to possibly reading about some of your travel adventures on here. I'd be a little disappointed if I were you too, don't feel like a bad wife.

Good luck on the job hunt, I definitely know how difficult it can be to look for a decent job here. I have to remind myself of that sometimes when I just want to up and quit my current job.
