Isn't there someone on here who knew Jason Mraz or went to college with him or something like that? I saw him on the VH1 countdown last weekend and just now and Ellen and can't help but wonder if he was always this earthy and I just missed it?

ETA: He was not that earthy. He was very hipster like in 2003.
Okay, I'm glad I'm not losing my mind....and he was talking about all the stuff he won't eat and went on this vent about how he rarely eats fish because fishermen are "slaves". I just found it odd and I didn't remember him being like that when he first came out.

I've been a bit worried about him lately. He's gone so far to the "dirty hippie" end of the spectrum that it makes me wonder if he's on the verge of some sort of breakdown. I love him, but I can't figure out what he's got going on right now.

I went to preschool, elementary, middle, and high school with him. He was not always earthy, but always unique. He dressed up as Arethea Franklin and lip synced "Respect" in our elementary school talent show. I have it on VHS tape! I need to figureout how to convert it and put it on you tube or something.

Hello, would like more info on that "respect" vhs...i have been looking for a copy of that for some time. it can be converted easily, it does cost a bit depending on how much tape you have. i would be happy to pay to have it done and send you a copy. just let me know if you're interested.
