April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination

Re: Happy Monday!
Our weekend was pretty good! I was able to catch up on some MUCH needed sleep and we got all our stuff done!
Oh, and we have drywall!
My weekend was good.
Friday night we stayed home and relaxed.
Saturday our kitchen flooded, so I got to clean that up with DH was at work. Apparently our pipes were clogged and when the neighbor upstairs started her dishwasher and used her garbage disposal, it overflowed our sinks. Talk about a freakin mess. After that, I ran some errands and then we went to dinner with some friends.
Sunday we went to breakfast after church and then came home to do some cleaning and laundry. Then DH took me out to dinner for my birthday.
I am off today and have lots I want/need to get done. I think this afternoon I am going to hang out with my BFFs and do a little shopping.
Our weekend was good! I made a yummy dinner on Friday night (Julie, the shrimp with lemon and mascarpone that we saw on WC) and we hung out and watched tv.
Saturday, we did tons of errands, and then went to my friend's bday party at night.
Sunday was SPRING CLEANING day. We had to clean the house top to bottom, and organized a lot of things. It felt good. I also made this amazing dinner: Italian shredded beef sandwiches using a "starter" I bought at WS. It slow cooked in the dutch oven while we cleaned.
This week...I don't have anything very exciting going on...
Have a great day ladies!
We had a very low key weekend which was nice, and much needed. We hung out with some friends on Friday night, which led to DH being hungover most of Saturday so we just relaxed. Later on Saturday we went to Jo ann and I got some stuff to make some clothes for baby.
Yesterday we just sat around and watched the Celtics, Bruins, and then the Nascar race. Dinner at my parents last night.
Nothing too big this week. We have our official anatomy scan on Thursday and I can't wait to see the little guy again!
My weekend was pretty uneventful....except for Saturday...I'll post about that in a minute. We did go for dinner and drinks with my brother and his gf. Sunday I relaxed and went grocery shopping.

It was a pretty good weekend! My mom called on Saturday and wanted to come over for a visit. It was so nice to see them since I basically can't stray too far from home. I was able to get some sewing done on Saturday as well.
Sunday we went to church. A lady at church commented to me "I hope it's soon." Um yeah you more than me lady! I got some more things done around the house. The baby's room is finally organized (for now)!
I have a Dr appt tomorrow to see if I'm dilated at all. I'm hoping with the full moon on Thursday baby might get the hint and come!

Ah Monday - no matter how many of you I've seen, you still suck.
Weekend was fairly low key... went out to dinner Friday night, Saturday I went to the mall as my tops are getting too short. doh. then we headed over our friends house w/ a 3 month old and hung out there for the night. Oh and wonderful Sami knew I was feeling pretty down as buying XL and XXL tops (refuse to pay double for maternity tops for the gym so I just buy them big - er long.) so when he came home from work he had an awesome bouquet of flowers for me, which is NOT something he does often so it was an awesome surprise!
Sunday we did breakfast and ran some errands for various grandparents - we learned that taking a dog to the nursing home is equivalent to a hot blond walking down the street... LOL as we walked by the row of wheel chairs listening to the live music you could hear the necks cracking as they were tracking Shelby LOL - we cracked up. but glad we could bring some joy to them! LOL
then we just hung out and made dinner... nice that it was so low key as this weekend is going to be a bit busier!
have a good week!

Happy Monday, all :-)
Weekend was pretty good, actually...a little chillier than I've gotten accustomed to (thanks for spoiling us here in Maryland, weather!)...but quite nice.
Hung out with the Mr. and my Mom, and Friday evening attended a farewell party for my former Manager and Mentor who is also a very good friend - she just left my old company after 30 years. Very nice event, and it was wonderful seeing so many old friends and celebrating great times we all had together - all in all a pretty good weekend!
As for this week? Work, work and more work!!! But strangely, I seem to be growing accustomed to it. Vacation, come on!!
Have a super week everyone!
I worked all weekend and DH worked Saturday
I'm glad I have today off so I can catch up on my rest. Sunday at work was a surprise, as the store wants every employee trained to be a specialist now. Luckily, I passed on my first try, so I am now certified.
My plans for this week... I have no idea. I will probably continue to paint my bookcases (hopefully finishing with the painting soon, then I can look for a pretty fabric or paper for the inside of it) and start painting my smaller fish tank stand.
Next week is spring break for me, so I think that all of my professors are trying to kill me leading up to it. I have SO much homework this week its not even funny. One of my classes has 2 projects this week which add up to over 40% of my whole grade in that class...ugh.
This week will be stressful til at least Wednesday then its spring break time! Then I just want to relax for a bit!
DH & I at the Light Festival
My weekend was busy!! On Saturday we did our annual "get out of Hoboken to avoid the St. Pat's celebration". We went out for breakfast, stopped by BuyBuyBaby to pick up the glider we ordered, only to find out it doesn't fit in our car and have to arrange for delivery, and then we drove up to an awesome outlet mall in NY state. We bought a ton of baby clothes and some other stuff, and it was nice weather for walking around. Fortunately when we got home our building was intact, and there were no loud parties still going on in our area.
Yesterday we drove to Long Island for the baptism of DH's BF's daughter. It was a nice, but long, day between the drive, the ceremony, and the reception afterwards. We were both exhausted by the time we got home!
Nothing too exciting this week.. we have a newborn care class tomorrow night and my regular doctor's appointments. I'm looking forward to a more low-key weekend since the last two have been nuts!
As most have probably read, Friday was filled with tornados and the aftermath. We went to be early that night knowing that we would spend Saturday helping those who got hit. Saturday we spent ALL day working on helping SIL's grandparents with damage caused to their property. After that I spent about an hour or two hanging out and playing with my neice until my brother and SIL got back (they are currently living with my parents and my mom spent all day babysitting). And Sunday was spent doing things around the house and then taking care of Mark when he got home from work because he ended up picking up a cold after being out in the cold all day Saturday.
@Holly- how sweet of Sami! Such a pretty arrangement too!
@Danielle- good luck with your schoolwork, I'm sure you'll do great!
My weekend was my Friday night practicing calligraphy, watching Harry Potter and indulging in adult beverages :-) Pineapple sunrises (aka tequila sunrise with pineapple juice instead).
Saturday I did grocery shopping and mad cleaning after watching Julie and Julia. I had DVRed it two months ago and never sat down to watch it. As a food enthusiast I can't believe I didn't watch it sooner! I LOVED it and really empathized with them trying to find something meaningful in your life for yourself. DH came home about 5:30 and I RAN to the door to meet him on the front porch. It was magical after not seeing him for 8 days (and not having this much separation is 6+ years was quite a challenge for me). :-) We went to SD's play Oklahoma at her school then came home and basically went to bed right away since Austria is 6 hrs ahead of us.
Sunday we took it easy and didn't do much of anything. It was lovely :-) I'm so happy to have him home and I feel like I did when we just started staying overnight with each other and enjoying coming home to the other. It was hard but I think it ultimately was good for both of us to be apart since as they say, absence makes the heart grows fonder.
