Zachary Quinto and Jessica Lange are both confirmed as coming back, and this article also says Season 2 will be on the East Coast.

Awesome! Their fights were the best part of the show. I'm so glad they are both back. Jessica Lange made the show IMO. She was awesome. I really wish her character was back too. But anyway. Excited for the new season.

Oh man - I just came back from a PaleyFest panel about the show... lots of cast members were in attendance: Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Frances Conroy (old maid), young maid, and Sarah Paulson. Ryan Murphy and two other showrunners/producers were there.

Let's see if I can remember some highlights

Season 2 will be on the East coast in an institution of some sort.
A lot of people will be returning, however I couldn't make out all of them because everyone would start clapping. Tate will be coming back, as will be Sarah Paulson (who played the medium)
Pay attention to the title sequence. Apparently they will give clues to the season like the title sequence did for the first season.
The writers are aware that the story of Constance's fourth child was never told - they'll tell it at some point.
They started writing Season 2 in February and will be taping in July. Show will air in October.

Funny moments from the night:

There was a lot of love for Jessica Lange. This hot beefy guy stands up and tells her that she "really does it" for him and that he's going to rent all her movies and watch them because he's been missing out. Then another guy was dressed up as Constance to the delight of the cast and asked Lange how she managed to be so sexy.
McDermott described dressing up as rubberman and how he had to get lubed up. He also gave a recommendation to the best s&m shop in Los Angeles. He said that spending most of the pilot with his butt showing while crying and masturbating was no big deal because he does that all the time at home.
There will not be any crossover characters between Glee and Horror Story. As one of the producers said - you don't want to have dinner with your wife and mistress.

Thanks, insomniac! My DH will be SO excited that Zachary Quinto is coming back. Me too. I'm feeling a bit better about season 2 now.

Thanks insomniac!! I'm so excited Tate will be back too. Sounds like pretty much the whole cast will be back (except the daughter?). Feeling better about season 2 - even though I'd love another season of Constance.
