Yet another Vegas post! Anyone stay @ the Tropicana?
I know there's a link somewhere around here w/FAQ's about Vegas. We've been there one other time 2 years ago, but we stayed @ the Bellagio (we were in a wedding). This time DH wants to stay @ the Tropicana, but I know nothing about it....
TIA for any rec's/advice!

Re: Yet another Vegas post! Anyone stay @ the Tropicana?
the Trop was just remodeled about a year ago - it really needed it!! The common areas are much nicer but haven't seen a room. I personally wouldn't stay here - I think the location sucks... it is south strip, and not really on the strip anyways.
are you looking for a budget place? I'd check out Flamingo (GO room) Bally's or Harrah's, the locations are much better... Treasure Island is typically fairly reasonable too.
Well it's rated #16 on Tripadvisor so that's pretty good if you ask me... (http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review-g45963-d97730-Reviews-Tropicana_Las_Vegas-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html)
I'm considering staying there. They did a good job with the renos, I love the way it looks now, so South Beachy, and the rooms look nice too. FYI, they have a sale on SniqueAway right now, with rooms as low as $59/night.
We were in Vegas in January and whilst we did not stay at the Tropicana we wandered through it.
We loved it. It had a really nice airy vibe. The pool area was gorgeous. It had a slightly retro feel about it.
Next time we go to Vegas, we're staying there.
