What event are you training for/date? RnR USA Half, 3/17
What does your training schedule look like for the week? M-5mi, Tu-3-5GHMP, W-Lifting, Th-5mi, F-XT, Sa-10mi, Su-rest. Also 85-91 pushups/situps through the week.
Any injuries or problems? Just a guy who can't control his BO at my gym.
Highlights from last week? ROCKED my long run. ROCKED my last tempo run.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? Yes. I lie down on the floor and close my eyes until it goes away.
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? Lion. Wicked storms, 70-30* in like 2 days, yeesh.
Name something you are looking forward to in March. Well my birthday was last Friday, so I'll say DH's birthday, which is this Friday
What does your training schedule look like for the week? Sun- 11 mi run; Mon- power yoga; Tues- 3 mi run + strength; Wed- 5 mi run; Thurs- rest; Fri- 3 mi run; Sat- yoga
Any injuries or problems? Nope!
Highlights from last week? I convinced DH and a friend of his to come to the social runs at our LRS on Wednesdays. It's nice to have other people there that I know!
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? Nope
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? I've heard that expression and I know it has to do with the weather but I'm not sure exactly what it means! But the weather has been gorgeous spring weather here.
Name something you are looking forward to in March. My birthday on the 27th and our anniversary (6 years!) on the 31st!

What does your training schedule look like for the week? Sun 13.1 race , Mon 45 min light cardio and stretching, Tues 1100m swim, lifting, Wed - speedwork, Thurs - swim or off, Fri - 10 miles, Sat off
Any injuries or problems? calves are super tight from my half on Sunday
Highlights from last week? new PR - HM 2:07:11
Have you experienced taper madness? no because I never really ramped up my running for my last full due to injury How do you deal with it? I'll let you know next month!

What event are you training for/date? Rock CF Half 3-25-12. I can no longer claim to be training for the Boston Marathon.
What does your training schedule look like for the week?
M- rest
T- 7.30 mile run, push ups, planks
W- 8-9 mile run
Th- cross training
F- rest
Sat- 10-12 mile run
Sun- 3 mile w/u, 5K race at an easy pace
Any injuries or problems? no, still feeling pretty darn good for being 26+ weeks pregnant. Of course, my pace has slow considerably but I am still getting out there and running a min of 30 miles per week!
Highlights from last week? 15 mile run on Saturday in 20-40mph winds. I set out to run 20 miles but something told me not to. My dad also made me stop.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? tapering is so hard. you spend all this time putting in high mileage weeks, speed work, etc... then it feels like it all comes to a hault. I've learned to respect the taper though. I've had successful races when doing so.

What does your training schedule look like for the week? 100 min long run, 4x1600, I'll fill the rest in as I go.
Any injuries or problems? not hurt. just tired. also, I failed miserably at my 40 mi goal for last week.
Highlights from last week? excellent long run. otherwise life really interferred with running last week.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? find a project. not a physical project though (i.e. heavy gardening or housecleaning). something like going through your old documents, polishing your silver, seeing friends you've been ignoring, generally just doing stuff that I've been putting on the back burner while training.
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? I think it was rainy and windy so I'll go with lion.
Name something you are looking forward to in March. breaking 1:50 in the half. not going to lie, I want to be much closer to 1:45, but I'm not sure my training supports it.
What does your training schedule look like for the week? - Mon.: ST legs and TKD class, Tues. ST arms and 4 mile run, Wed: ST legs & TKD class, Thurs: ST arms & 6 mile run, Fri: off, Sat. bootcamp, Sun. 10 miler
Any injuries or problems? - my shoulder has been aching for several weeks. I thought I just slept on it wrong, but the pain isnt going away
Highlights from last week? - eh, can't remember anything that sticks out
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? - not really, I enjoyed the rest before my marathons. I don't taper before a half.

Highlights from last week? I only skipped one run while on vacation, I came home Saturday and did my longest run, 12M for the training plan - 1:44:59! I'm pretty happy about it, considering I took a few walk breaks.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? Not sure what this is, but I'll be tapering the next week so we'll see if it comes up.
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? Like a lamb, weather has been relatively mild except for the random flurries yesterday.

What does your training schedule look like for the week? Cross train, run 4, 5, and 4 miles, rest, 3 mile run, 8 mile run, plus strength training where it fits. Second week of taper.
Any injuries or problems? No. Actually, I have made it this far without an injury. First time that's happened in a marathon training cycle.
Highlights from last week? Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Just sticking to my training plan.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? Other than wanting to run more and eat everything that isn't nailed down, I actually like taper. You have to trust that you have done the hard work already. Rest up and get ready to put the icing on your cake, er, race.
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? Like a lion. We got light snow (where I live) and rain (where I work).
Name something you are looking forward to in March. Shamrock!!!! And finally living in the same state as DH. We've been long-distance on and off since 2004.

What event are you training for/date? Still the Colorado Marathon - 5/6
What does your training schedule look like for the week? M-4m, T-8m, W-body pump, Th-4m?, F-17m, Sa-traveling, Su-6-8m in Florida
Any injuries or problems? I'm currently ignoring a sore knee...icing it and stretching a ton. I think it'll be okay, but I'm a bit worried.
Highlights from last week? A fantastic 7-miler at sub-8:00 pace, and that was with a pretty slow first mile...my last three miles were under 7:30.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? not yet...I wonder about it.
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? It is BEAUTIFUL here...the weekend and yesterday and so far today. Of course, tomorrow, it's supposed to snow. Welcome to Colorado.

Any injuries or problems? Not really, my feet are sore from our hike on Saturday
Highlights from last week? Me and DH went on a fantastic/ very challenging 8.5 mile hike on Saturday.
Have you experienced taper madness? How do you deal with it? nope, don't run far enough to taper
Did March come in like a lion or a lamb where you are? Our weather is bi-polar. It snow, lightly, last night. But tomorrow we are suppose to have our warmest day of the year. I wont complain, its better then raining.
