Best way to get from BCN to Plaza Catalunya?
We'll be arriving mid afternoon on a Friday. I am so confused with the airport's website and RENFE.
What mode of transportation (pre-paid taxi, taxi, Aerobus?, or train (RENFE?) do you recommend? Or something else? (FYI, we arrive into Terminal 1)
TIA
Re: Best way to get from BCN to Plaza Catalunya?
Getting there we took Renfe (it might be a little confusing on the website, but it's really easy to use).
Going back to the airport, we caught one of the buses at Placa Catalunya. I *think* you waited near the El Corte Ingles. Either way, there was an obvious waiting section. It was super easy and stress-free.

Thanks. So it's something that we can pretty much wait until we're ready to leave the airport to decide and then it's fairly easy/obvious? It looks like for the bus you can pay on the bus itself; is that similar for RENFE or do you buy a ticket in advance?
We'd like to save some money and avoid using taxis; hopefully toting our luggage on a train or bus won't be an issue! We've done it on here (Chicago) with out public transit. (eta: both of our flights (in/to) are midday, so we're not overly concerneds about arriving/eaving too late or early)
Sorry, all these little questions! Just trying to cover bases

Thanks NDSU; I was on their website earlier and getting frustrated with it!
I kind of this this Aerobus looks good and it'd only be 9.15EU roundtrip!
Thanks osu!

OP, the bus was very easy to find, clean, and like PP mention, came pretty frequently. Also, the had tons of racks to put down your luggage.
We didn't figure things until we got there so don't stress yourself out too much
There will be plenty of people at the airport who can help you if you have questions. Honestly, I think Barcelona's public transportation system to/from the airport is a little easier compared to other cities.

Another vote for Aerobus! Very easy to find and buy tickets, inexpensive, and fast.
On the way back, we already felt confident/familiar enough with the metro to take the train to the airport. Transferred from the metro L4 at Passeig de Gracia to R2 train - doable with carry-ons, but pretty hot and heavy. GL!
